Hurrying, Allu tried to slither up to where Orchenia was. Her scales grated against Nyx's in a very uncomfortable noise and she huffed, unable to get up. "Bit slippery."

Mel paused, a faraway look coming over her eyes. "A friend... a very good friend. Who knows? Probably lost, too. She... May have survived. But if she did..." She looked down. "It would be too painful. Well, uh, she was a friend. Until... him. But... I just... can't bring myself to hate him. He broke me, destroyed my world, shattered my everything. But... I just can't hate him... I wish I could." She put a hand to her face, wiping the corner of her eye where a small tear had slid out.
((I'm gonna write her story/backstory soon and put it in the Other Fiction forums))
