You wake up from feeling Frostkit move from your little kit-bundle next to Emberstep. (You start about a week old, basic movement and talking). Your eyes are still blurry with sleep.

I look up at my mother and siblings, wondering if they are awake. Curious, I try to get up on my feet.

You wake up in between your mothers paws to Dappledkit and Frostkit playfighting. Shadowheart is sat up in the nest.

As Dappledkit bundled Frostkit down and pinned her, you got up and padded to the den entrance. The sun was painful against your eyes.

(Okay) Emberstep is asleep, while Cloudkit was peering around the nursery entrance. She was taking a peek outside, while Frostkit was being pinned down by Dappledkit and flopping around.

Your eyes adjusted after a bit and you could make out cats in the clearing.
