You could scent lots of new scents as you breathed in the world for the first time. Your vision was blurry, but you could make out a familiar, soothing scent and ginger fur. Shuffling closer, you hear the words of, "Cloudkit."

That memory was only a haze now, but it was intertwined with your dream until you felt a paw abruptly poking you.

Scenting drain into your nose as you lie half-asleep beside your mother, Emberstep and sister, Cloudkit. Emberstep seemed asleep, but Cloudkit's fur was moving slightly as if it was being groomed or pushed.

I slowly open my eyes and yawn.

Dappledkit was awake and prodding Cloudkit, while Shadowheart was grooming her plump stomach. Lilynose was purred softly in the corner, watching Dappledkit and nested up cosily.

I stand and stretch slowly.

Shadowheart blinked but said nothing. Dappledkit down at you. (Remember you're only a week, you'd probably not be able to walk very far) and tilted her head before leaping, bundling you over and pinning you down in the middle of the nursery.
