Estella lived in a darkness all of her life and dreamed she could escape. Time seemed endless then she saw a small Light and flew towards it. Finally free of her darkness she saw the world for the first time. The sun marked her wings as a reminder to persiver in darkness because it can be beautiful when you get through.

[don't know if i was supposed to ping or not]
this girl's name is Eclipse, which is what inspired me to create her. the solar eclipse was yesterday, though unfortunately, i was unable to see it with my own eyes. i did watch the live feed on television, however. but it was far too cloudy yesterday where i live for me to view such a stunning spectacle. hopefully i'll have better luck in 2024!

Blood Moon
Inspired by this photo.
This savage beauty is covered wing to wing with her own blood. Even catching the slightest glimpse of her red beady eyes can leave you just as blind as she is. She is believed to only reveal herself when the moon is as red as the blood that drips down her face. Beneath all the blood, she is actually as white as a phantom. Many fear her because most think the blood covering her body is of it's victims. Others believe that she is an unsolved metaphor sent by the moon. Her name - Blood Moon - was given to her due to the fact that she only appears during a total lunar eclipse. Although she is rarely seen, some say that when enough people are staring at an eclipsed moon she will awake from her slumber on the moon.

Blood Moon Lunamara
My inspiration for this lunamara came from the lord of the rings when legolas see a red sunrise and says that there will be a bloody battle that day.
This Lunamara only appears when their is a big battle on a full moon night.It signifies death and despair.If seen avoid at all cost .The Blood moon lunamara has a lupora counterpart along with a morrko counterpart when all 3 meet it signifies the biggest bloodshed in history... the end of the world.

BLUE
She roamed the world, looking for something that would make her seem beautiful to others. Other lunemaras were bright and colorful, and she was... blue. Literally and emotionally. Blue fur, blue wings, blue everything.
What else could be so blue?

(I only briefly skimmed all the entries so any similarities to others' are completely unintentional!)
I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while! The idea of an obsolete constellation is intriguing to me. Most of our constellations today have myths attached - often they include being raised into the sky by the gods. I wanted to try my hand at a story about the opposite. Musca Borealis turned out to be perfect for the lunes! I love how the gems on the Forest Spirit Arms kind of resemble a constellation...

The northern sky is full of stories.
In the days of discovery, Musca Borealis reveled in the curious gazes of humanity. Far below her in the tiny world humans once believed to be vast, the ships that braved the unknown seas looked to the sky for guidance. They gave her many names: Apes, Vespa, Lilium...finally, Musca, like her southern sister, and Borealis, for her home in the North. Musca Borealis...
The northern sky is full of mysteries.
She watched the ships sail beneath her, dark shapes on the water that glimmered with light from her stars. She watched the sailors search for her in the blackness of the night and wished them safety and prosperity in the new lands they sought. She watched the waves, constantly rocking to and fro, concealing worlds within their depth - worlds she would never see. She wished sometimes that she were not fated to watch from above...
The northern sky is full of dreams.
After a time, fewer ships crossed the seas. Fewer sailors raised their faces to seek her light. She still wished for their safety, wistfully keeping her watch over them as they slid out of her sight, onto the adventures that awaited them. Eventually, they stopped calling her by name.
The northern sky is...empty
Now no one looks for her in the sky.
Their disregard...frees her from her cage.
She is now free to travel the world as she once longed to do. She visits her sister in the South; she explores the lands her sailors traveled to so long ago. She dives beneath the glimmering water, taking comfort in the light of the stars looking down at her, and discovers worlds she never knew she could reach.
She loves this tiny world like it has always been her home.

Frosted Elements
This icy Lune lives deep in the snowy mountains, in a cave called The Runes Of Memory. The cavern is spangled with ancient runes and carvings, that are fiercely guarded by the Warriors of the Frosted Moon, these special Lunemaras. They were bred by and conquering army, but when the army was defeated, these Sylestis lost their incredible fighting ability. They are still more intelligent and strong, and only come out on the last blue moon of the year in December.
