Missions are essential for gold but also daily quests are a good idea! since those give you gold, you kill enemies so you might get some cool drops and it helps level up your pets! I would also suggest maybe breeding some pets and selling the offspring it's a bit more of waiting, and marketing but it can work!

I was a pretty fast leveler as well, and I'll just say, the bandit dungeon is great for quick cash, I can do it in 15 min or so, and the Umbra quests as well. Don't attempt the dungeon in Umbra until you have level 60 pets and preferably a max stat or three if you want things to go quicker. Oh right, and get your hands on a max stat as soon as possible. Don't buy pets, avis, or anything like that and focus one getting enough stuff to high enough of a level to consistently gain money. The cheapest max stats are 150k, so save up. Fabled species have higher stats than normal. Feel free to message me if you have any questions, since I've barely gotten settled in myself and still am considered really new.
If you want to save money, keep a light pet in your party. Oh right, and you really need a second party slot. ASAP, or you won't be able to do dungeon runs.
Here is a high stat pet for you. You'll need it.
Sylestia is a pretty tricky game to get settled into. Don't breed or sell pets until you can sell the real quality ones, like themeds, regen pair offsprings, etc. Every pet that you buy is money being spent continuously feeding it.

as far as making money, missions play a huge part. available at each town barracks, i suggest you send out as many pets you can as frequently as you can. also, i recommend visiting Sanctuary of Saerielle's quest board once you reach that far into the story.

As for making gold, I found that once I leveled up my pets alot I can easily do the Sanctuary of Sarielle's daily quest and make a lot of money that way
