"Ashes... are you okay?" Aydan asked. He couldn't see the girls face, but something about her silence made him think that she was upset about something.

" I want to leave but I can't..." She said sadly.

Aydan walked up to the girl and stood next to her. "You can leave anytime you want." He said. "I just don't suggest it, and I won't help you with it"

She looked at him."I miss home."she said sadly.

Aydan put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry" He said. "Even if you went back home, it probably wouldn't be the same without your father. I wish I could help. I really do."

She sat down."Y-you can go."she put her head in her lap."I don't care if they find me.I don't care anymore."tears slid down her cheeks as she sat there.

"Okay" Aydan said casually. He began to walk away, hoping it would knock some sense into Ash, but as soon as he turned around and saw that Lacey was gone he forgot completely about Ash and started to freak out. "Ohcrapwheredidthatchildgo" He said, looking up and down the hallway.

She sat still listining to the scientist freak then slowly got up.maybe lacy will leave with me...she thought hopefully."I'll help you find lacy." She said.She closed her eyes and listened for foot steps."follow me." She said,flying upwards then flapping her wings to move forward.gusts of air blew down the hallway."Lacey?" She called."please answer..." She said.

Aydan nodded and followed the girl.

Lacey considered stopping when she heard her friend call her name, but she needed to find the experiment first and make sure that they were doing all right and keep her promise to punch whoever made them so easily frightened in the face.

She sighed."Lacey please..." She called.
