She heard a knock and tensed,ready to jump for the door."Stay calm..." She said,willing her self to stay as hidden as possible.

Aydan placed Lacey on the floor next to him and propped her against the wall before opening the door slowly. "Ash?" He said. "Are you here?"

She heard her name called but still waited for the door to be opened wider and for the scientist to walk inside.

"Ashes?" Aydan called again. "He stepped into the room and looked around.

Suddenly,she jumped out and over the scientist and out the door.She sprinted down the hallway and took a left down another corridor.She saw a door ahead and ran faster.

"What?! Ashes what are you doing?! I thought that you were going to let me figure out how to help you?!" Aydan yelled, dashing off after Ash, and leaving the still unconscious Lacey in the hallway where he had put her.

She stopped as she reached the door and looked outside,wondering if she should leave,or stay.

Nico skidded around corners and probably stepped in something as she dashed to 1201. She saw them huddled up by a wall. She dashed to them, dropping to her knees to get to eye level. "Poco verde! No hay nadie aqu!" She whispered, lifting the experiment's face out of their arm. "I'm gonna get you a bit of clearance," mumbled Nico, hoisting the still shaken experiment into her arms. 1201 was exceptionally light, about the weight of a large dog. She carried the experiment to the front office.

1201 heard footsteps growing loudly torward them. They shook quietly, biting their arm in anticipation. It wasn't until they heard a familiar voice that they looked up. Scientist! they thought, tail twitching. Their scientist lifted them up into her arms. 1201 let out a long quiet whine. 1201 wrapped their arms around the scientist's neck like they were afraid that they'd be dropped.

"Ashes! Please come back!" Aydan yelled desperately.

Lacey woke up and looked around the hallway. She saw Aydan in front of her, and for a second wondered what had happened and where she was before she remembered the experiment and her promise to them, and the scientist. As she remembered to promise, she stood up, and, as quietly as possible, snuck out of hearing range of Aydan. Then she sprinted off in the direction of where she was pretty sure she had last seen the experiment to make sure that they were okay.
