This year, as some people may or may not know, there will be no minor festivals, like the Week of Love. Krin has said that this year they are going to just focus on the main festivals, which is understandable. Krin and Fai also have the MegaZone, and the rebuilding of Sylestia to worry about, as well as all of the various species revamps too. All festivals, even minor, take time and effort. That being said, Krin also said that they will try to have at least something fun to do during that week/weekend.

I thought it would be fun to make some suggestions on some fun things to do that won't take a lot of time and effort to do(ie not a lot of art, coding, etc.)

Feel free to post your own and make comments about others suggestions.

Pop up around the site: much like Jinxie, the Cornucopia, etc., where clicking on it can yield gold, avatar items(in this case past ones), lesser philters, dyes, and even a themed eggling in rare cases.

Forum games: for minor festivals there could be a couple of simple ones like a word search, or answering a series of questions.

Eggling Auction: it could be for items or pets.

Pick a Door: everyone loves this one.


This is all I have so far, but as the coding already exists for them, it won't take as much time.

this doesnt really feel like sugestions rather than a wishlist to me. if you wanted to make sugestions maby actually give som?

example:
*Pop up: You will at random times get a pop up window that asks you a question about the site. You only have 30sec to answer from three potential answers before you fail and get nothing.

*Eggling auction: Well why not devide it into "age groups"? this means that players that are 0-0.5years old would compete against each other. 1-3years in one group and so on. This would help the newer players to not be overbid with just the starting bid.

I was fighting with myself to try and suggest new stuff, but I also know they want to focus more on revamps, the Seasonal Festivals, and the MegaZone, so I opted to suggest things I would like to see that are already coded, and didn't require much artwork.

That being said, you did just inspire me to think of something! Since there will be no fest zone, but people like their themed pets, we could have pop ups around the site, and clicking on it gives you a fragment of something. Collecting enough of these fragments and putting them together makes a random Week of Love themed eggling. There could be a couple of options: 1) Most of the time it is a regular pet, with a rare chance of a fabled pet, or 2) There are regular fragments and fabled fragments to collect.

I really do like your eggling auction idea! Since Sylestia's user base has grow so much, I've felt there should be more eggligns to bid on, to reflect the growing number of players. I know the number of users has at least tripled or quadrupled and yet the number of egglings to bid on in the auctions has not really changed. Mind you, I don't know how much the number of active users has changed in that same span of time.

I can't remember the name of it but there was a title people got one year for solving a valentine fest sudoku puzzle. I'd love another shot at that title so I'm going to selfishly suggest a sudoku puzzle for valentine day with the title back for solvers.

I would be interested in seeing the leaderboard feature combined with exploring the world map. Maybe something like a dungeon clearing competition or something of the sort.
