Not sure how many of my ideas I'll get around to drawing up, but here's one for a start:

Zolnixi -- Gene 2: Silk Stockings



This one is simple, using only Gene Colour 2, but I've always thought that the sweet, coy, almost dainty quality of the Zolnixi would be wonderfully complemented by a gene which almost looks like old fashioned stockings, with a lace top. I've demonstrated using only the back legs, but the actual gene design could use just those or potentially all four legs. I've placed the "stocking" height to fall where it won't interfere with various leg-covering mutations.

I also think this would go well with my "Garter" mutation in the other contest thread, naturally. It's also subtle enough that it wouldn't look too "girly" on the male Zolnixi, either, especially if the lace effect at the top is kept simple.

Wheee~ Delicate runes on vulnyx ^^ the light gray is sUPPOSED to be a dull glow... it sorta failed but I'm rather happy how this turned out <3

My first design is for Ryori, and it is "Feather Markings"



The basic idea is connecting feathers that look kind of wispy and pretty on the Ryori, I was thinking they could go in Gene Slot 2. c: (This being smaller makes the feather like detail harder to see, but my picture is pretty awful anyway so it doesn't matter!)

My other design is a little simpler, it's for Aeridini and it's just "Double Stripes"



But for the tail!

I made a Sylvorpa design last year that I was going to resubmit but someone has actually done that concept this year, and much more skillfully! c:

This is a Griffi Gene named Okapi



This gene would be perfect for those of us who love to work on 6vis projects but would like to show off the main body of the Griffi. The design and name are pulled from the Animal Kingdom much like Appaloosa and Kingfischer, with nods to the Faelora Okapi gene.

Praise Losty this wouldn't have been possible without her.

Faded Stripes for the Aeri:

Orange and yellow were just to make the genes 'pop' out a bit, and make them appear two-toned.

Only had time to make genes, unfortunately. :)
