Traditional Pumpkin Carving Contest

The object of this contest is to carve your own real pumpkin!

This is the Traditional Carving Contest!
There is also a Digital Contest, which can be found here.

Rules

1. You must submit one entry of a carved pumpkin. If no pumpkin is available to you, you may use a vegetable or fruit alternative. However, no other types of carvings will be accepted.

2. You must provide a minimum of 3 separate pictures of your carving process along with your Username and the Date physically displayed somewhere in each picture. You may provide a lit/unlit version of your final entry. Here is an example of how this should look:

You do not need to post them in a grid like this. I just did this to save space.

A Player Guide on How to Upload Images

3. You must actually be the one to create your entry! While assistance is fine, you cannot simply have someone else carve for you and then claim credit. If you are tracing an image for your entry, you must have been the one to originally create that image (Unless what you are tracing is a Sylestia asset, such as our pets, avatars, monsters, etc)! The main point of this contest is to have fun and to get involved in something outside of the digital world. So just do your best and have fun. =) We want to see your creativity!

4. Please do not reserve posts. Only post when you are ready to submit an entry. If your entry is still ongoing, you may post early with the progress that you currently have and edit your post as you finish.

5. Please do not ping me unless you have a specific question or concern that I need to address. Thank you.

6. The due date for submitting your entry is by the posted end date in the Fall Festival Overview Thread, which will be posted once the Fall Festival begins.

Notes

If this is your first time attempting to carve a pumpkin, here is a helpful guide on the entire process:

I've got two questions
1. Are we allowed to use dried flowers?
2. Are we allowed to use more than one pumpkin? For example a very small pumpkin inside of a larger one? Thanks!

8 Hours later after my first attempt at doing a layered pumpkin carving xD I love the end result though! Totally worth it! Sorry the pictures are so huge D: I don't know how to shrink them lol.
Edited to post the correct picture with the lines cleaned up xD

1. Hm. No. I don't think props of any kind should be allowed since this is a carving competition.

2. I suppose if you are putting a pumpkin inside another pumpkin, I guess that can be okay? But generally, you should submit just one singular entry. For example, submitting 5 different, separate pumpkins would not be allowed and we would only judge you on one of them.

So... I completely forgot to take photos at appropriate times.

1) cut open and painfully scooped all the guts and much of the pumpkin wall out

2) I had the great idea to try carbon transfer paper to transfer the neph image! but it didn't work. so i resorted to poking it with a pushpin

3) started carving, but the tools ended up being crap and I kept poking through, but progress!

4) finally completely carved through, and can see many times where i poked through .-.

5) and the finished somewhat horrible neph! XD

Decided to do a pumpkin this year. I haven't done one in a very long time.

I used branches from the dead sunflowers in my planter box for the windows. The pieces of pumpkin under the windows are suppose to be planter boxes.

No where near as fancy as everyone elses, but I think it turned out really cute.

So Happy Halloween ! As has become traditional in our family we carved pumpkins and mine is sylestia themed. Sadly someone(not naming names *cough sam*) borrowed all my best craving tools AND we have a cold snap. Most good craving pumpkins rotted fast, only thick skinned cooking pumpkins avaliable so.. yeah not my best one but I had fun.
