I like the concept of a giraffe, but I liked the faelora better, and the proportions would need to be fixed for it to look right.

OK, it's a nice design - that I would love to see added to the game in the (hopefully) near future. But that's not a faelora.

After years of having deer-like faeloras, you can't suddenly scrap the sylesti, and apply the name to a new species.

It's not like the kelpari. Kelps are sea horses, both before and after. But this is not it. It changes a deer into a giraffe.

Instead of introducing a new species under an old name, why not keep the faelora as the deer-like species, and add the giraffe in the future?

This change is heartbreaking, actually.

I came here to see if Sylestia did anything for April 1st.

However, to make the Fairiffes? Girloras? better, make it so that when you refresh the page it changes between the original sketch and the new ones :P

For those of us who have very literal brains (in my case because I'm autistic), do you think that in future, you could actually say "April Fools!" at the end of your April fools day posts? I was actually quite upset for a while before other users pointed out that this was a joke, since my brain is wired to only interpret things literally and I really thought something I really love was being thrown out in favour of something completely different. Knowing now that this is a joke, it is very funny, and I think it's a great thing that you guys did, but I wasn't really able to be a part of that humour for quite a while since I had no way of knowing it was a joke.

personally, I love this design, but as a different pet or as a new mutation, I don't really like the idea of completely throwing away their deer-like appearances
