Pinged Krin just to make sure it passes guidelines.

I have a question: What's the most memorable/worst time you've had road rage?

I'll start. (This actually just happened.)

Basically, I'm a pretty calm, if not nervous, driver. Normally, I don't experience things like road rage and what not. But, on my way home today, I definitely had a fit of rage.

As a little insight, I live and hour away from where I work. And since my shifts don't normally end until around 4:30-5 am, I'm generally pretty tired and ready to be home. Today was even more grueling than normal at work, and I was just ready to go to bed. It was pretty cloudy, so it was basically pitch black since the sun doesn't normally rise until around 7-7:30.

I had just pulled off of one highway and headed on my way across an old, two lane road that's not normally too busy with cars, but definitely with deer. This morning was a little different, as there was more oncoming traffic headed to work and using said road to avoid construction farther along the highway I was headed for. The guy that pulled off in front of me was goin pretty slow. He was doing about 45 in a 65. That's not what made me mad. What made me mad was the person that was behind me. See, the guy in front of me was moving slow and kinda back and forth on the road. For my safety and the person's in front me, I maintained a good braking distance just in case and because I don't like being that person who tailgates if I want you to go faster. Now you might be thinking, why didn't you just pass him? I was going to, but each time I moved forward to pass, we were coming up to the end of the passing lane and I didn't want to start to pass him and ended up in a no-passing zone. The times I did have enough time to pass, there was a lot of oncoming traffic. Now due to me not passing this guy yet and the person not speeding up yet, as well as my off and on braking if I thought I was getting too close, the guy behind me must have gotten mad. He started tailgating me, which I wouldn't have noticed with his tiny car if he wouldn't have decided to flash his brights at me. Like, I'm sorry???? Would you like me to hit the person in front of me and cause you even more delay?? I was very tempted to show my anger, but I told myself it wouldn't do any good and that I just needed to calm down, but I was still pretty mad about it. The guy in front must have sensed something or gotten comfortable since the traffic dwindled down, because he sped up to about 55. Up ahead was a passing zone, so I went ahead and passed him since we were getting a long line of traffic behind us. In order to pass with Mr. Tailgater right on me, I went just a little over 70 to pass quickly. Mr. Tailgater was bright lighting me the whole way, making it difficult to see if it was safe to move over without cutting off the person I was passing. With him on my tail, I flicked on my blinker and moved back over into my lane. I was fuming at this point and what set me over the edge was Mr. Tailgater went flying past me going waaaay over the speed limit before I even had a chance to slow back down to 65 with what I assume was one of his buddies right behind me. I was livid and literally started shouting and cursing obscenities at them and that next time I'll roll down my window and freeze to death just to show my anger. Took until I was almost home to fully calm down.

And that's my worst time of road rage. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Feel free to comment below your worst road rage moments!

Everything with the story is fine. I would just ask that you please avoid using implied swearing or skirting around profanity filters by replacing a few letters with asterisks. Our rules ask that players do not try and bypass our profanity filter when using our public forms of communication.

Thank you for seeking approval.

Not me but my dad. He was a submariner in the 1980s and still isn't used to other people on the road with him. Surprisingly, I've been in more accidents with my mother (who grew up in the middle of nowhere in New York) than with him. He's gotten quite creative before, which surprised me since he's not usually creative. I'm not going to get any more detailed since they're very not nice to say the least.

With him being a submariner, if they're anything like sailors when it comes to swearing, I could imagine the kind of things he probably said. They were probably pretty funny, though. XD

Thank you for sharing. :)

Everyone knows Cali has horrible traffic. This is not a surprise.

Now, I was in middle school and my family had a year pass to Universal. One day we went "let's go to Universal for the afternoon/evneing". Great idea, right? Wrong.

At the time, if there wasn't traffic we could get to that part of town in maybe an hour or two, tops. However, the traffic was for some reason so bad that it took us 6 bloody hours to get to the park. With no bathroom. I was not very happy. Traffic, all the way. It was ridiculous. You couldn't even get out to a side street, and if you did you couldn't get back in (we tried). Also we got there a few hours before closing and...yeah.

Anywyas that day we learned never to try going to a theme park if it wasn't in the morning :P

Ah. Remind me to book fun activities in the morning or with 6 hours in between to accommodate for traffic if I ever get a chance to go to Cali. XD

Thank you for sharing, that sounds like it was absolutely horrid.

it was.
California traffic when half hte state is in lockdown is nothing to scoff at, esepcially down south. Your 10-minute drive can take an hour if you go at the wrong time XD

and yet the public transport is meh here....honestly i can see why rich people use helicopters and private planes it's rather appealing sometimes-
