Maveric nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but for now it's just him and the kid. What's her name again?" He asked. He hadn't seen her around ever before and wondered if she was even from the western part of the city, where everyone else had been.

"Maria...that's a cool name. It probably fits her well." Maveric didn't trust himself around children, especially after what happened to his brother. His face grew a little sad as he thought about it

Maveric managed a sad smile. "Nothing, I'm just thinking about my brother." He figured she hadn't heard the story and spare her the sadness. If she asked he would just say that he died
