I sure do, she barks, tail wagging. This is amazing! As the crowd cheers again, you notice the sound of clinking at the centre. The Dwarves must be giving money to Numbat. The performance goes on for a long while, the crowd growing bigger as people came out of the inn and along the road. Eventually Numbat stopped, bowing, the crowd clapping enthusiastically. It disperses, letting you see the small Goblin crouching and picking up all of the coins that he had earned, and other little bits and pieces.

I walk up to Numbat,"Numbat meet my partner Crimson."

It's about midday by the time you're finished, splinters in your fingers and back aching. Knight seems nonplussed, sitting with his tongue lolling to the side like he's a giant, scaly dog or something.

"That's great. Thanks you two," Balthur says, closing the back of the cart and making sure the wood is secure. "Now, here's the things I got you."

He lays what looks like a large harness out in front of Knight. "There are many shops who sell all sorts of things for Familiars of all sizes. I got this modified for you - it means that you can detach from the cart yourself, and will be less tight and uncomfortable. There's also a saddle on it, in case it's ever needed," he gives you a knowing look when he says that.

"And," he continues, handing you a strange contraption, "for you N, I got a compass. So you'll never get lost, no matter where you are. It has a leather band so it can go on your wrist. Just since you both saved my life and all, I thought I may as well get you something."

I walk up to Numbat,"Numbat meet my partner Crimson."

"A Hellhound! A puppy no less," he exclaims, putting the coins away and going up to Crimson. He isn't much taller than she is, just making you realise how big she is going to be when she is older. She pads up to him and sniffs at his outstretched hand, making him chuckle. "You're a brave one. You never usually see any Hellhound outside of the Southern territories, let alone a pup. Where'd you find her?" he says, scratching behind her ear making her close her eyes in satisfaction.

I sigh. "I haven't seen mine in a long time."

He ruffles his feathers. "Oh. I'd assumed that you'd gone to see them at some point."

"Wow. Thanks......No one's really given me somethin good as a gift on their own accord befofe....so this means a lot."

"I rescued her and a group of familiars," I tell Numbat, "that's why we need to cross the bridge and it's being guarded by centars. I'm trying to get the familiars back to their families."

You do so, crudely carving it into your door with the basic tools you have. It's clear enough that the room is yours though.
