Scarlet's ears flick back and forth warning in a quiet, urgent tone, "Can you two keep it down please? We don't want anyone to hear us."
Her fur bristles sensing Jay's fear, "And Jay calm down please."

Jay sighed but found a perch on top of one of the screens. He couldn't see all the way down the hall but at least he was looking the right direction. "I know. I'm just worried we won't find anything concrete. We don't need more speculation at this point..." he sighed. They needed to know exactly who the witch was and their goal. "Besides, I like the urban world more than all these plants."

Mrs. Mouse pursed her lips. "Very well. August, Scarlet...why don't you two start looking on the other consoles while I go through these pictures."

August gave a firm nod, spreading his wings and gliding over to the over console, careful to avoid stepping on anything important. He tilted his head curiously as he studied the pictures on the screen, then grinned in the best way a bird can. "...I have to say." He told Scarlet. "This is a bit exciting."

Scarlet nods once using her front paws to see what was on the computer, "I agree with you but Augutus can you please see the buttons that are closest to the computer since I can't get up there." Scarlet looks at the controls slightly confused. Computers had never really been her thing.

Jay did try to stay dutifully watching down the hall but listening to the others do exciting stuff was too much for him. He flapped over, landing on a set of buttons in front of Scarlet, doing his best birdie grin as he did so. "How about this? Huh? I'm getting bored so can I help?" He stumbled a bit, falling into another set of keys as he did so. "Ah, my bad. I just want to do something."

Mrs. Mouse sent him a look. "Be careful. You could set off an alarm or some such if you're not careful. We have no idea how the witch set her consoles up."

Scarlet frowns, "Jay be careful please as Mrs.Mouse said you could set off an alarm or possibly worse. If you won't stay on guard duty will you please find someone who will?"

Jay fluttered his wings, all in a huff despite the fact that he had set off a number of things on the screen. "I'm just saying that you guys aren't making any progress. A-anyway...it doesn't seem like anything is coming in here after us." It was a hard bet to play considering it had seemed so strange, so like the witch had just left or would return at any moment. But hadn't they been making a whole lot of noise up until now and going through the computers which could be rigged remotely anyway?

"Besides...I didn't actually set off an alarm? I think I may have launched a program though..." he managed, a bit sheepish. "Should I just leave you to look at it?"

"No Jay you have an advantage over me in this case," Scarlet explains, "You're able to see the screen and buttons. I guess just be careful and look around for anything that could help us. I'll stay on guard duty for now."
At that Scarlet walks back towards the enterance.

"Alright..." Jay hesitated, still feeling like he caused undue tension. Was Scarlet mad at him for butting in? He didn't mean for her to walk away but he supposed it was the smart move. He just...wanted to help out his friends. It was the only reason he kept butting in. Still, after another long second, he turned back to the screen. "I really did launch some kind of program. Ah-!" He shrieked as a loud creak sounded through the room, sending him flying back into the air.

The soft glow of distant daylight went out as the entrance they came through closed off and another secret door opened in the floor at the back of the room, the ramp leading into a surprisingly well-lit room. "Ah, seriously! What the heck are all these secrets that this witch is hiding!"

Scarlet jumps when the enterance closed and the other opened, "Jay what button did you hit?" Her tone was caln not angry just curious, "We might be able to use that button again if we need to so we need to find some way of marking it."
