I chuckle and give him one of the packets of Griffin food.
(I noticed you didn't add it to my inventory, were you going to?)
(Ah, nuts. Sorry about that - thanks for reminding me. I can be forgetful sometimes ^.^)
He tucks in gratefully, finishing off all of the meat before using the bag as another bit of nesting material. "Waste not want not, mother always said," he chirps cheerily. "I saw her, by the way. She's doing fine - no longer laying, of course, but well looked after." He pauses for a second, thoughtful. "It'd been such a long time since we were last at Elvenor. It was good to see how everyone was getting on."

Delirious sticks close to the shadows as she makes her way towards the large building. She makes sure to walk and not sneak, sneaking always makes her look heaps more suspicious to unwanted onlookers that she was yet to notice. She walks carefully and keeps her ears and eyes open for any others that may find her presence in this area suspicious.
You make your way across without detection. Well done - when a couple of guards saw you, they just dismissed you as an unimportant passer by. Keeping this tactic in mind, you feel more confident about staying hidden.
Stealth +1
The main, locked doors aren't an option. You're going to have to find another way into the building. Luckily there doesn't seem to be anyone skulking around here, so you should be able to search without much hinderance.

Always the stares.
Nico stands next to the cart waiting for Balthur to tell him what to do.
Balthur finally finishes speaking to the barge-man, and opens up the hold. Inside, you can see hundreds of planks of wood.
He returns to you, unbuckling Knight as he speaks. "As my sister will probably kill me if I try to do this, could you and Knight please put those planks into the back of the cart, N?" he asks. "I'll be getting some other things for myself from the market stalls here."
I chuckle and give him one of the packets of Griffin food.

I thought you might like to see this, I watch in amazement.
I sure do, she barks, tail wagging. This is amazing!
As the crowd cheers again, you notice the sound of clinking at the centre. The Dwarves must be giving money to Numbat.
The performance goes on for a long while, the crowd growing bigger as people came out of the inn and along the road. Eventually Numbat stopped, bowing, the crowd clapping enthusiastically. It disperses, letting you see the small Goblin crouching and picking up all of the coins that he had earned, and other little bits and pieces.

You do so, crudely carving it into your door with the basic tools you have. It's clear enough that the room is yours though.

"Sure, why not." He gets to work.
You slide the planks out of the hold while Knight picks them up in his jaws, tossing them into the back of the cart.
It's difficult work, backbreaking and long-lasting. Balthur returns long before you're even half finished, putting his shopping away.
"I'm sorry I can't help, lads," he says sympathetically. "I made sure to get the two of you something. I'll give you it when you're finished, so I don't distract you."

"I thought so too. We should return more often."
He nods, a little drowsily. "And when this kid hatches, we can take them too. I can introduce them to all my friends and family," he says wistfully. "And to yours."
