Lowell had followed in, carrying a few bags over his shoulders.
It would have been difficult to recognize him initially as he was disguised as his brother Duke Lionel and dressed far more formally.. if it wasn't for the bit of fur still clinging to his collared shirt.
He grimaced as Giselle picked it off his collar and gave him a playful pat on the head as he walked off to drop their mutual belongings off in the guest room they had been assigned.

"...What do you plan to do if her majesty recognized him? Although, if she finds out I lied to her, I guess I will be on the short end of the stick. " His eyes followed Lowell out then looked back at Giselle. The Empress would most likely shove more disgusting wet things down his throat feed him other sweets he was not fond of if she found out.

Lowell was apprehensive about facing the Empress again, trying his hardest to not show it on his face. He knew his brother well, but he still has his doubts about being able to mimic his rather outgoing personality. He had no doubt the Empress would see through it if did not try his hardest to perform.

Gallagher watched them go.

The Empress had been informed the minute they arrived at the castle, and she was already prepared for the Marchioness and the Duke.

As they reached the entrance to the throne room, Lowell stepped aside with a bit of a dramatic bow as the guards opened the door.

She stared him, amused by his acting. She already knew they were in for trouble, having half the mind to ask him to wait outside if it wouldn't be too suspicious at this point.
She stepped inside, giving a curtesy to the Empress.
"I apologize for arriving so late in the evening, your Majesty. I did not want to interrupt your rest."
