Emrys barely managed to hide her frown. Well, what was she expecting? To have Averill pour out his deepest darkest secrets? She finally nodded at him. Actually, she could relate to that a little bit. She hated paperwork, and there was always so much of it she had to do when she was a princess.
"The skies are lovely here when it's not cloudy or raining. You can see all the constellations like you can see in Allurith-" Emrys paused. Oh no. She had just blurted out that she had been to Allurith before. She quickly tried to think of a way to cover that up.
"*cough* Er, I visited the country once. With my parents." She lied. "Lovely skies."

"You're forgiven, I guess." Remilia gave a dismissive wave, sighing as she signed the last of her papers. This one gave permission for a suitor from across the sea to visit during the ball. He seemed filthy rich, and actually he was younger than most of the other dukes. The other men were nearly three times her age, sometimes even more. It was disgusting to her, the thought of having to share a bed with a man that could be her father. Her gaze snapped up when Luca giggled, raising an eyebrow.
"And what might be so funny, Luca?" She asked in a low tone.

Yerik had seemed almost upset of his answer for a moment witch made Averill think back to what he had said without finding anything wrong in his reply. He was interessed at the mention of Allurith, yet another tragedy that his father had a major part into while he could just sit and watch. " Yes, from what i heard about it was a nice place, maby i will go there at some point, when things will be more ... secured." As long as he was a prince he coudn't do anything for the Alluriths but the day he had heard of the death of the royal familly he had already took the decision to fix the damages once he get the chance, any chance realy, even if his name was hated by those outside of the castle walls.

"Why would you be interested in going to a fallen kingdom? It's nothing but ruins now." Emrys tried to hide the slight anger in her tone, as she was VERY curious as to why Averill would ever want to visit her country. To laugh? To simply see the destruction caused by his father? She couldn't understand.
"No one lives there except travelers, and even they tend to stray away. All the people left after the king, queen and their children were killed." Emrys simply could not bite her tongue at the subject of her fallen kingdom. She was selfishly still comparing Averill to his father.

She stayed silent for a moment, thinking of a way to say his intents without revealing too mutch and an hesitant smile tug slightly at his lips. " You never heard that saying, the stars shine brighter in the darkness ? That's what i want to go and see." Of course it had an hiden meaning, he wanted to see hope come back to that kingdom and help fix the damages even if it woudn't be enough to bring back the king and his familly, it would be his way to appology to them.

Remilia frowned a little, but otherwise didn't shoo Luca away.
"If I don't choose one of these men by the end of the ball, they're going to choose for me. I don't have much choice either way, the old ones are filthy rich and know what they're doing, the younger ones have less money and experience, but I'm not cursed to sleep with a grandfather." Remilia bit her bottom lip.
"At least slaves can marry who they chose, even if its a cruel life. I'll have to bear this man's children and be at his beckoning call. It's no different than slavery in my opinion." Remilia stood up, sighing as she walked over to her window.
"You can go do whatever you want. I don't really care. Just be back in a reasonable amount of time if you're going with that Nikko boy, and make sure his owner allows it. The last thing I need is her complaining to me about you. And your chores still need to be all the way done."

Emrys's face seemed to soften at his answer. That wasn't the answer she had been expecting, and part of her felt... happy. She felt happy his answer wasn't a bad one. For a moment, she let herself have some hope again. Averill didn't seem to have ill intent for her kingdom, which surprised her.
"Ah... Well, your highness, before I came to serve you, I was in Allurith, and that star has long since burned out. When you break a vase, you can try to fix it, but pieces get lost in the process, and it would never look or feel the same ever again."
Emrys didn't care how much she was revealing about herself, right now she was being herself and speaking out like she normally did.
"Though I guess if you truly want to see it, there's nothing really stopping you."

She hissed in her language *thats not fair,* she moved over to pick up a broom in the corner she keep *back in Cade bay you could love who you want no matter what but look what happen to us* she shook her head opening the door *there were many girls wishing to court other women, I even courted a few myself.* she admitted sweeping the dirt out the door *but never did I hear of a forced courtship* she hissed *if you want I could scare a few off.* she offered with a glint in her eye *i do have a little bit of magic left* she looked at her standing by the window.

Part of him knew he should be more carefull of his words but he ignored it at the moment, opening the door of the observaroty he beconed his slave in with him. " So what if it can't be the exact same, with enough care and the right tools the vase could look even better then before." He carfully placed the piece of cloath he was holding on a table. " You seem to know alot about this story, more then the usualy slave anyway, why?" Calling the younger boy a slave, even if he was one, felt wrong to him another reminder of the difference between him and his parents.
