The being seems to debate it, and then comes to a decision. A blast of orange fire shoots out from behind the copse and burns the rope. You fall to the ground with a thud. What do you wish to do?

b) Attack the being
c) Stand up

Not wanting to reveal too much (or anything at all), Maldok says nothing for a long time. He does not trust anyone who spies on him and smirks the way she does. There is something about her that puts his instincts on red alert. The time he spent in shadows were the times he has grown to regret and ultimately run away from. A painful memory runs through his mind and he winces. He looks away for a second, hoping the she-elf didn't see the movement in his face.
In addition to her demeanour he is tired and desperately needs rest. Fog surrounds his mind and keeping his eyes open is starting to become a chore. Finally, he lifts his nose into the air, keeping his eyes and arrow on her and says, "I have my reasons. Who are you?"

The woman leans back against a tree, seeming very relaxed. "I haven't been known for quite a while, but I was once called Kiothar," she informed you casually. "You've really no need to fear me," she added.

Maldok gives her one last look and then gives in. He sighs, relaxes his bow and slowly puts his arrow into his quiver. His arms are now aching with fatigue but he pushes himself onto a low branch in the tree next to the mysterious woman. He pauses for a moment before climbing up one more branch and claims a resting spot by stretching out his legs and hanging his belt on a tiny branch above his head. His emotionless purple eyes stare into hers as he says, "Well, Kiothar, let's hope I don't."

A single purple eye opens and looks down at the woman, "I was a scout. A very good one. A tree is almost as good as a feather bed for me. Why's it your business anyway? Leave me be and go back to your shadows." He immediately regretted his comment. First of all, she knows more about him than he intended to let on. Second, where have his manners gone? He didn't want to admit it, but so far she really has done no harm to him. He sighed, "Forgive me, my lady. I have travelled far."

Her eyes flashed with something, but you couldn't tell what She had lost her easy smirk, and diverted her eyes from you, seeming slightly irritated now. "Perhaps the shadows get a little lonely sometimes. I have a better place you could rest, if you wish," she told you.

- Thank you, I whisper, while standing up carefully.
I walk in the direction of the being. I want to know who and what he is, and to keep my promise and help him if I can. If he wanted to hurt me, he could have done it while I was a prisoner of the trap. it seems safer to stay with him that to risk an encounter with the people he was speaking about. I don't like the fact that I could be observed by dangerous people whom I know nothing about.

Maldok hoped his charms would revoke his previous statement and perhaps he could reclaim some air of grace. He didn't know much of other tribes, but where he came from his behaviour thus far has been despicable.
