Absolutely. And I love your nephini - very beautifully done. You chose a great reference picture, too! I can't wait to see the rest of your entries!

I was looking through the forum and saw this thread and thought it sounded fun, so here it goes ^^

Entry #1: Dark Rainbow Pheonix

With this entry I decided to do something I normally wouldn't do. I wanted to try and use as many colors of the rainbow as possible while trying to make it look as appealing as possible. I struggled with it, but I think it came out decently.

This is the image that inspired me:

Entry #2: Northern Light Sky

Probably my favorite of the three I made, this pet is themed around the northern lights, also know as, the aurora borealis. It's such a fascinating and mystical phenomenon that I just had to use a Ryori as the pet. I wanted to keep things subtle, beautiful, and magical. I'm really pleased with this end result.

This is the image that inspired me:

Entry #3: Forest of Time

This is my third, and second favorite, of the trio I made. I based this guy more around my idea of time then anything else. I decided to go with the branch wings because ,at least to me, trees and nature in general represent time (hence all the earthy colors) as it takes a lot of time for trees or forest to grow.

Ok, so those were my entries. I hope you guys enjoy them. I know I had a lot of fun making them :)

Oh, and the secret word is canna aurleon

The results are now in!!
Again, thank you all so much for all your fabulous entries! The winners have been posted above the current theme.

Thanks so much to everyone for participating. As always, it was hard to pick, and I went a little overschedule! Winners, check out the 8th tab of my stable (labelled very blatantly "GIVEAWAY"), and choose one zolnixi from that tab. All the zolnixis in that tab are 6vis. If you see any that are 5vis or lower, please don't hesitate to tell me!

On the matter of a dispute between two zolnixis from that tab = If two people want the same zolnixi, by default the person with the higher ranking will receive it. (For example - winners from 1st and 3rd place want the same zolnixi, and can't settle their dispute. By default, the winner from 1st place will get the zolnixi and the winner from 3rd may choose a different one.)

Also, thanks to all of those who used the secret words! They have been changed again (most of you should have noticed the pattern by now - they change with every theme). I also get that some of you may have read through the rules and forgotten to include the words. That's tolerable. I will let you off the hook once or twice, but if you keep repeatedly ignoring the use of the secret words, I will ignore all your entries in general. (This has already happened to one of the contestants).

On a happier note, the new theme is up! Thanks to all those who have participated!

I have a quick question. I know the Mythology is a pretty broad topic, but would something like cryptids, such as Nessie and the Mothman, be apart of this category? I'd understand if they weren't, but I was just curious. If not, maybe if could be a theme you could use later? Just a thought :P

With this round, I'm somewhat lenient. Although the majority of this theme pivots around the ancient god/goddesses, it's also based around mythological creatures, so yes, in this case, cryptids are allowed.

Alright, so even though I'm 26, which I know isn't THAT old (lol), I recently fell in LOVE with the Percy Jackson book series and their sequel series. They were excellently written, pretty darn intense for "young adult fiction", and I loved how much mythology you actually learn throughout the series. Therefore, I decided to choose three of my favorite god/goddess characters from the books and use them for my entries.

EDIT: *cough*chocolatepawslupora*cough* this was totally here the whole time...O.o\

Design #1 - Hera's Pomegranate Aurleon
So this is actually a dual design. The colors are based solely on the pomegranate fruit which is one of Hera's symbols and are colors that I think about when I think of Hera. I chose an Aurleon with Peacock Tail and Crest because peacocks are also a symbol of Hera. Her chariot is, in fact, pulled by peacocks.

Design #2 - Artemis Faelora
I absolutely adore the symbols that are typically associated with Artemis. They just evoke such beauty. The symbols I chose to use for this design were the idea of her silver arrows and bow, the deer, and the moon. The arrows are represented by the lines from the markings, the branches represent the bow, the fae dust represents the moon light, and of course I chose Faelora as my species to represent the deer. :)

Design #3 - Hephaestus Ny'Vene
Hephaestus is most notably known as the god who forges the lightning bolts for Zeus. His symbols are fire, the hammer, and the anvil. I chose the Ny'Vene so I could use the Essence of Flames, and since Hephaestus is often described as being "misshapen" I tried to make the armor blend into the skin of the Ny'Vene so it looked like a part of it.

Thanks for entering, Brit! I love the designs on all of these, and the gods/goddesses you chose (Artemis and Hephaestus happen to be two of my favorites.) Glad to know there is also a fellow Percy Jackson fan on here :D
