(It was a joke, don't worry :P.)

Ruk nodded enthusiastically and pointed forwards. You could tell he very much wanted to face the danger. And he grinned and patted Aylen's head at your comment. However, your comment seemed to go over the doll's head. She jumped up in excitement on Ruk's shoulder. "Oh! I've never faced danger before!" she squeaked.

Malak accepted the compass and stowed it in one of the pouches at his hip. He listened to the information Borgken provided him with, nodding at intervals. The suggestion of a night's stay at an inn did have its charms.

"Thank you," he said to the dwarf, "I think a night's rest and a decent meal sounds like the best course of action. I assure you we will leave at first light." He bowed to Borgken, nodded to Elysetta, and made his way to...

b.) Leave to find an inn

You left the shop, Elysetta following behind with a slightly sour demeanor. She didn't say anything, however. Pretty soon, you found a building that had a title in dwarfish, but had a translation in your common tongue down below. 'Tempest Fury Inn'.

What do you wish to do?

a) Speak to Elysetta
b) Enter the inn
c) Keep looking
d) Leave
e) Other

i) Human-looking woman

In search of interesting leads, Lisette approached the woman by the wall, waving a hand and offering a smile. "Hello there!"

(Ah, yeah xD. You don't need to quote by the way :P. I mean, of course, I don't mind if you do, just saying it's not necessary~ c:.)

You headed towards the woman, who bore a sour expression on her face as you approached. Her arms were crossed over her chest. "What do you want?" she spat at you.

Malak could feel Elysetta's sourness lingering the entire walk to the inn. He wished he knew what had upset her, but he wasn't sure how to ask. He kept physical distance between them as they walked and tried not to do anything that would make look too...familiar with one another, so that no other dwarves would mistake them for a couple. Whatever he had done to upset Elysetta, he did not want to make it worse.

The inn was charming, and he could smell something foreign being cooked inside, but the smells made his stomach growl. He hadn't realized how long it had been since they had last ate. He gave Elysetta a concerned glance, and then made to...

Lisette held up her arms in surrender. "Ah, nothing, nothing," she admitted with an apologetic smile. "I just wanted to ask if something was the matter."

((In actuality, I have bad people skills and have no idea what I was thinking here LOL.))

You entered the inn, and a dwarf at the front counter greeted you in the dwarfish language. Then, she seemed to come to a realization, and spoke in your tongue. "Apologies, I didn't register that you two were not dwarfs," she chuckled. "Would you like to book a room at Higan gr Kukaleh Hefter? We have a complimentary dinner. Our current special is roasted duck and beef strips," she informed you.

The woman scoffed. "Something's always the matter, isn't it?" she muttered vaguely. "In this rotten town, at least. Everyone always wants something."

Lisette turned around to scan the town's busybodies. It didn't look as malicious as the woman's tone suggested, unless she was making a reference to the merchants. "Ah, well, I wouldn't let others get you down. All that matters is what's going on with yourself." She turned back to the woman, looking her in the eyes but with genuine attention. "I mean no harm by asking, is there something that's bothering you that I could help with?"
