"This might be difficult," Skywhisper muses, looking at the tangle of branches of the forest canopy with an unhappy expression. "Hold on."
He flaps furiously, breaking through the leaves and branches with his bulk, squawking a little. Eventually he ducks through to the forest floor, panting and flicking twigs from his wings.
It is indeed a Hollowtree. It appears undamaged from here - though there might still be something living in it.
I scratch Skywhisper on the neck and ask him what we would do if there's something in it.

"Ah," the guard says. "Well, its all yours. Nice travels," he finished flatly. Seems that's all anyone ever says around here.
Balthur straps up... Grumpy, as he calls him, to the cart. "Thanks again, fella. Give me a few days and I'll be back to pulling that thing."
The Wyvern snorts disbelievingly, but stands still.

"Run like heck, I suppose," he murmurs. "Or... how about you hide and I'll go and scout the area. Just keep the egg safe until I return."

"Okay," I say, and sneak behind a bush so I can see Skywhisper, cradling the egg.

He trots around the tree, wings spread out slightly, looking around slowly and lashing his tail. He does this for several minutes, before climbing up the tree and disappearing out of sight. A couple of minutes later he returns.
"Looks good. Can't see any signs of anything coming by recently, and the only things living in the tree is a small Critter bird in a nest."

"Good. Uh, how am I supposed to get up there while holding the egg?"

"I'll hold the bag in my beak," he says. "Just make sure I've got the top of it and the egg can't fall through any gaps."
He opens his beak, waiting for you to give him the bag.
