"I hope Augustus is okay," Scarlet agrees, "We need to find shelter and stay awake. If this storm gets any worse I'll go and find Augustus but until then let's stay awake and hope that everyone will be just fine."

"But can we move to find shelter? I feel like if we wander around, the bubble won't follow us and we'll be out in the rain with that....darkness," Jay shivered. By now, the black fog had almost surrounded them, causing him to motion Scarlet closer. "Let's, trying reasoning. We know this is the witch, so I bet she's listening."

After a deep breath, he called out to the sky. "Hey! What do you want from us? We can't stay here all day!"

As soon as Jay spoke, the smoke stilled, no longer writhing just out of reach. Likewise, the rain seemed to slow in a way rain should never do. What did it mean? An opening, or a trap? At least it seemed like the witch was focused entirely on them. If August was out there, he might have a chance to get away or even dive into this mess, for whatever good that might do.

Scarlet glances up at Scarlet, "What did you just do? Also I agree shelter would be a good idea right now. Let's move and say something if you see shelter anywhere."

Is this still open??

I am a Kodiak grizzly bear, strong, tough and intelligent.

The bear woke up under a massive oak tree. She didn't remember seeing a tree.... or anything else for that matter except for a strange half-image of curly brown hair and two smooth tan legs rather than four fluffy brown ones. She shook her head as she stood up. First thing on the agenda was to get food. Even though she didn't feel hungry, she felt like she should be. After all, it seemed like she's woken up from hibernation. The bear, she felt her name was Dew, rumbled as she stood up. Seeing a blueberry bush nearby, she approached it and stuck her face in, ready to gorge on berries. She spat out the first bite. It didn't taste real. She knew it was but it tasted... wrong.

Jay stammered, considering arguing for longer, but it was pointless. Scarlet was right. Tucking his wings tight against his body, he pointed his beak toward a bit of scraggly rock in the distance. "How about over there? It's not as good as a cave, but it might buy us some time." He didn't know if the witch would let them run away but it was worth a shot, even as laughter filtered through the air around them. He might have pushed a few buttons when he challenged her.

"Ah! Oh dearie me!" Mrs. Mouse cried out as a large bear's muzzle thrust its way into the bush she's been napping under. Napping? The last she remembered, she was in a grand hall with Grey. Where was this? Skittering away from the bush, she gave the bear a wary and rather concerned look. "I'm terribly sorry to be in your way. I'll just be...I really have no idea why I'm here though..."

Scarlet runs towards the rock in the distance hoping Jay was right about what he saw. Then again she was no better off at this point. She was nervous and worried but at the same time overly calm.

It was bound to happen eventually... August reflected as he tumbled head over tail into the tall grass, the almost painfully heavy rain determined to keep him down. He tried to get back into the air anyway, of course, though the effort was fruitless. With a resigned huff, he fluffed up his feathers and narrowed his eyes before continuing out into the feild. He had to be close now.... right?

Hunter picks up his pace to stay next to Ashia. He nears the not-quite-a-cave cave, ducking under the outcrop and quickly sitting down. He was tired and worn out. There had been a lot of running and problem solving, and his mind was now just a blob of incoherent matter trying to figure out what to do next.

"Step away from the mouse, ya big bear." Grey growls, hackles raising. She knew Mrs. Mouse was in the bush - Grey could smell her - but she didn't know where the bear had showed up... Or where she herself had showed up. The last thing she remembered was checking out the not natural light.

The bear lurched backward at the sound of the small mouse's voice. "Wait," she called out before wondering why. "I meant no harm. You can, uh, stay if you'd like, I guess." Weirdly, the bear feels like she recognizes this mouse... almost from another time? No, that couldn't be right. That would just be weird. She internally scolded herself for being weird. She takes another bite of berries and chews it carefully, wondering why they taste so... wrong.

The bear stood up on her hind legs at the sound of the wolf's growl. She looked around for the source of the voice and drops onto all four legs when she sees it. "Listen, wolf. I didn't mean the mouse any harm. I just wanted to eat some berries. I didn't notice the mouse was in this bush until she spoke."
