If Malak understood more than his upbringing allowed, he would have tried to express to Elysetta that there was no coldness intended by his gesture of distancing himself from here. He was merely trying to do the proper thing based on what he had been taught. Of course, he didn't understand what his gesture might have made her feel, and so felt no need to explain these things to her.
"You're advice is greatly appreciated," he said to Hanagar, bowing his head slightly to her, "I look forward to seeing more of your magnificent city." With much excitement for what he was about to see in this dwarven city,
Malak strode through the door.

The dwarf gave you a friendly nod as you walked in. You entered a dimly lit stone hallway with runes cared into the walls in what looked like the dwarven language. You could almost hear a willowy choral voice faintly humming through the air, but you couldn't tell if it was real or not. The flat floor ahead of you turned into spiraling steps descending far down. What do you wish to do?
a) Continue down the steps
b) Inspect the runes on the wall

A feeling of wonder not unlike what he had felt back at the pixie tree came over Malak. His surroundings were so strange from anything he had ever seen, and yet he could see beauty in such a rock hewn environment. The markings on the wall also seemed to hold their own kind of enchanting quality. He stopped to...
b.) Inspect the runes on the wall
"Any idea what they mean?" he asked Elysetta, his voice friendly when he glanced in her direction.

The pixie sent you an almost cautious side glance as she stepped up beside you. "No. I don't read dwarfish. I know a few words, but not the alphabet, so I really couldn't say," she responded.

Malak nodded absently when Elysetta answered. It was disappointing, he wished he could understand what the writing said, but perhaps he could pick up a little bit of the language while they were here.
With one final look at the runes on the walls, he turned and began to...
b.) Head down the staircase
...towards what he assumed was the main part of the city. He was eager to re-arm himself with a new weapon.

The staircase almost felt like it went on for miles. About halfway through, your legs got sore, but you powered through and reached the bottom regardless. The city before you was vast, and beautiful. Those were the two words that came to your mind. It was made mostly of masonry, and the walls were lined with many stores of different natures. What do you wish to do?
a) Speak with Elysetta
b) Look for Borgken's
c) Look around
d) Investigate the city
e) Speak to a random passerby
f) Leave

The staircase, while fascinating in its craftsmanship (you don't find many stairs in the desert),
was quite a workout. Malak began to feel slightly claustrophobic as they continued to descend. It was with much relief that they finally reached the city and things opened up considerably. Everything was so stunningly beautiful, for a moment he was rendered speechless. He even turned to Elysetta, his eyes bright with excitement.
"This is incredible," he said to her, his voice filled with boyish awe. A dwarf carrying a very impressive axe began to pass by and Malak turned toward them.
e.) Speak to a random passerby
"Excuse me? Do you know where I can find...," Malak trailed off, having quite forgotten what the name of the place the guard at the door had told him, and looked towards Elysetta for assistance.

Elysetta seemed to have calmed down a bit, too, on the journey down into the city. She even gave you a crooked sort of half-smile, with some unknown expression in her eyes. "You really didn't get out much, did you, Malak Khaleel?" she chuckled under her breath.
As you questioned the dwarf, she stepped in where you faltered. "Borgken's," she told the man.
He grinned warmly. "Of course! If you go down the right side, it's the sixth shop," he told you, and then walked away amusedly. "What a sweet couple..." you could hear him say quietly.
What do you wish to do?
a) Confront him
b) Speak with Elysetta
c) Go to Borgken's
d) Speak to another random passerby

Malak gave Elysetta an amused glance. Why no, he did not get out much. Of course, he knew she was just teasing him and let it slide. He was very grateful that she had remembered the name of the shop the guard had mentioned. He truly did feel, well...rather naked without his favored scimitar.
"Thank you most kindly," he said to the dwarf and he walked off, though when he heard the dwarf's last comment his voice faltered slightly as his cheeks flushed with warmth. He glanced hastily at Elysetta and then darted his eyes away again. He cleared his throat.
c.) Go to Borgken's
"Well, lets go shall we?" He began to head in the direction the dwarvish citizen had indicated.

She looked at you, a bit confused for a moment, before shaking her head slightly and following after you to the indicated shop.
You opened the store to find a rather tidy-looking store, with a chipper young adult male dwarf standing behind a front counter. "Oh, jolly day!" he greeted the two of you as you entered. The walls were lined with elaborate weapons of all types displayed. However, there was no scimitar on display. "My name is Borgken. What can I help you with this moment?" he asked warmly.
