"I'm sorry, but this is insane. You're insane." Jay hesitated, but he didn't know Genesis or August well. If he was loyal to anyone, it was Scarlet. With that thought, he took off after the fox, catching up as quick as he could. "Hey, hey! You shouldn't just stalk off like that! We were supposed to stay together! Even if..." he cast a wary look over his shoulder. "Even if things were getting dicey."

Genesis fell back on her paws in absolute shock. The storm was rolling in quick, a particular black smoke swirling in the clouds, but Jay and Scarlet just left? It was unthinkable. Wasn't she threatening? Even if she was little. Even if she was young. Unable to think of anything else to keep these friends around her, she grabbed hold of August's foot. "Are you thinking of leaving too? Those others will be in trouble. If you stay freely, I swear she'll be nice to you!"

Hunter went after Jay, scared to loose his friends all over again. "Wait up!"

August froze, then glanced back at Genisis, eyes pinning in a mixture of surprise and wearing patience. "What then?" He asked simply. "I can live forever masquerading as a parrot, but what for?" He shook his head briefly, then looked in the direction the others went. "Let go of me. If the others are really in trouble like you said...." He requested.

Scarlet smiles slightly, "Well looks like someone came to their senses. Are you okay? If she hurt you or Hunter or Augustus I will tear that little weasel to shreads. Do you think she's been here too long?"

Jay frowned. "I don't know. Did she say that she was the first?" She seemed different, like she knew things but was still so utterly stupid. He huffed again, flitting over to Hunter so he could pat down some of the hyena's fur that had gotten disturbed. "I'm glad you two are alright, but I feel nervous running away now. Did August get away? And then there's this storm." The air was getting chillier, a rough wind rising in their direction. Then there was that black smoke that couldn't mean anything good.

Genesis shook her head, though her grip loosened a bit. All their arguments were making her head hurt, but she was so sure she knew the best way. It was the only way she'd ever known. "If I let you go, you'll get hurt too. I don't want that."

"I know we have to go rescue August but with the storm brewing we should probally find shelter quickly. Jay hold onto either Hunter or myself please so you don't get blown away," Scarlet starts looking around for shelter for her friends.

August let out a weary sigh. "Genesis..." He spoke. "...You can't tell me you want to be friends with them and then let them run into danger; no real friend would do that. They won't listen to you, but they might listen to me. So I'll only ask you one more time; Let me go."

Jay gripped his feet in Hunter's fur and nodded. "I think that's a good idea. Run....that way!" he exclaimed, pointing one wing toward the north. Since he didn't have time to think about it, it was all instinct that said 'go that way'. Perhaps then, it was the right way.

Genesis finally let go with a rather whipped expression. "I can't stop her though. The witch is coming for your friends and she's angry." She gave an apprehensive look toward the sky. The clouds roiled, nearly on top of them right now. "If you go after them, she might reset you all."

August nodded once in reply. "I know, but that's a risk I'm willing to take."

Without question Scarlet took off at a run. She runs as fast as she can while keeping Hunter and Jay with her. She glances at them occasionally to make sure they're staying with her but for the most part she focuses on running.
