Skywhisper is unsaddled, but you can still ride him. You would just need to keep a hold on the egg while he flies, and make sure you're not going to fall off. It wouldn't be that risky, and you would have the benifits of a bird's eye view and Skywhisper's speed.

"Hey, do you want to fly?" I ask Skywhisper.

He trudges through the streets, wings limp by his sides as he takes seemingly random turns. Eventually you find yourself in a wide courtyard with dozens of carts lined up alongside each other. There are many guards, not just Centaurs, nearby. Most take shelter under awnings and anything else that keeps them even slightly dry.

Two approach you and the Wyvern. "We'll escort you to a free spot," one says, more than a tad grumpily, turning and leading the way.

In less than a few minutes the guards have guided the Wyvern and the cart into a space. "We're the designated guards for Slot 23, this one," the second guard explains. "We'll look after your cart until you return."

The Wyvern, freed from the harness, squints at the two with a look that says: You'd better.

Your clothes are soaked through and not even your fire magic can keep you from shivering. Time to get back to Balthur and Malindi. Whoever she actually is to Balthur is a mystery that should be explained when you get back to them.

Skywhisper nods. "It'll be faster. Wherever it is we're going, flying will be easier than walking. Just make sure you can keep a hold of the egg, and keep it warm."

I mount Skywhisper and keep a hold on the egg.

Nicote starts back.

It's a little more difficult than usual, what with no saddle and the egg, but you've both flown through worse.

"Alright," Skywhisper says, spreading his wings and shifting on his feet. "Where are we going then?"

The Wyvern walks by you, shielding you from the rain like he did before with a wing. You're still shivering and already drenched, but at least you're not getting soaked any more.

The Wyvern knows the way back, and it's a relief when the two of you squeeze back into the warm room, a fire blazing at the far end.

Balthur is on the same slab, talking animatedly to the healer, Malindi, but stops when he notices the two of you come in.

"Welcome back!" he says cheerfully. "You can both sit by the fire so you can dry off - Malindi is making something for us to eat."

At least he's feeling better. You see a fresh bandage on his wound, expertly wrapped, unlike his last one.

Nicote nods and takes a seat. He shivers-the fire is lowly warming him up. Sowly.

You lie flat on the riverbank and try to carefully catch one of them. Your first attempt fails, but you try again with another. This time you are able to get close enough to it to flip it out the water. I got it! Crimson barks excitedly, jumping up into the air and catching one. She bites off half of it and leaves the other bit for you. Do you want to carry on trying to catch them?

Sure until I have at least two full trout.
