Dhuka~female~morkko

"Would you stop calling me that." The bear like animal growled as she pulled herself to her feet. "I have a name, it's Dhuka if you didn't know." Her head was killing her, it was all this magic crud! It was almost like she needed to go into hibernation early just to get her head to stop pounding. "And as for what I would be doing, I don't know maybe not dying, preparing for winter, you know morkko stuff!"

Smit~male~Zolnixi

"Now he be speakin' me speak!" The nixi yipped before looking back at Amara. "Come on lads let me help ye up." He said standing and offering Amara a shoulder to lean on.

"I wouldn't dream of hindering another kindred spirit against the forces of Vorpar." He reassured Kipper. If there was one thing Mermydon had learned in life is to never take into account the size of the warrior, but the size of the war in her heart. Dhuka addressed him right after he spoke, so he respectfully tilted his head so he could meet her gaze as she finally introduced herself to him. "I did not know. Thank you for that Mare Dhuka." He replied respectfully. "Perhaps the air here is too muddled. I can't say it's doing me much good either." He said his head and neck laying upon Princess Kanakwella as he was. "I expected this island to be our safest port of call, but given the circumstances I may have been hasty in thinking that. Would you find it burdensome to go with Smitty and walk about the island a bit and make sure there aren't anymore surprises? Because until those water sprites are done picking that necromancer clean, I'm afraid we kelparie will be of little use until dinnertime. Perhaps Amara would be willing to go along to gather more Terran fare for Raka? She and Smit seem to be getting along well." He said that as more of a humor than an observation. Dhuka, Amara and Smit had only just gone through this exercise on the mainland but given the situation they were the best team for it; one fighter, a tank and a healer gatherer. A combination of land-dwellers that was both formidable and self-sustaining. He then faced Amethyst who was definitely attending Yal with all of the love and faithful attention that only a big sister could give to a baby brother she was responsible to raise. Mermydon smiled a little that he was able to serve their family as a king should. "How is Yal?" He asked, uncertain as to how much time had passed since he blacked out or if Amethyst was willing to guess at Yal's condition. He lay against his betrothed just taking in everyone's input and reassuring each of them to take their rest in turn. Even Akega was taking his rest, and keeping an eye on his long lost big sister and the much older parrot fish kelparie that kept calling her 'darling,' 'his betrothed' and 'my queen.' Mermydon didn't blame him at all. From Akega's point of view, the Shaldonians were just as much his kingdom's enemy as the original Shaldonites. To top it off, he had no idea of what their parents' point of view was with regard to the marriage, or if the betrothal decree was still binding. It was one of a thousand political questions that would make his head throb as bad or worse than Dhuka's. So for now he'd allow those sleeping lupora to lie. Kanakwella was very soft and warm, but he couldn't get comfortable. Something was bothering him for a good while until he realized that Meara wasn't warming his fin-wing with her body heat. In fact she was almost ambient temperature. He looked to see if her chest was rising but nothing. He flicked his tail at her head but no response. "Forgive me Kanakwella." He asked as he lifted himself off of his beloved's side and leaned over to Meara's nearly lifeless form. He had to stand up and lift her half muddy face up with his leg then then he turned his head at a right angle to hers and performed the kiss of life upon her.

Not like CPR, he opened her mouth gently with his teeth and dropped his tongue inside her mouth to hold her tongue out of the way. Then he pressed his lips against hers and invoked a fairy light life bubble inside of her body. It was the fastest way for his magic to enter into the heart and he would have to do so until she became conscious. He hoped that he wasn't too late to save her life. When she had only just saved his.

"He's okay." Amethyst said. "Just needs some time." She let him swim beside her. He chased her playfully. Whenever he reached her he swam next to her. He seemed okay and happy. He didn't act like he had before.

Heroine took the egg that rolled out and cuddled beside it assuming it had no mother heroine decided to raise it as her own she curled her three tails around it warming the egg

Kanakwella got out of the river and went beside mermydon she blushed while looking at him from his kiss and nuzzle she was to shy to say anything at this point

Akega sighed "I'll just go and sit somewhere or find a fish" he said

Heroine went over to everyone holding the egg up with her tails while still warming it "ew mud" she said trying to avoid it she seen smit and amara finally other zolnixi's she thought and went over to them "hullo" she said

"Akega!" Raka raised his voice slightly as he addressed his old friend. "Why don't I join you? You wouldn't be opposed to some company would you?"

Kipper looked around her analyzing everyone else, particularly the kelpari. She would do well to pick one to stick with. Were they to be traveling long distances in the water she would have to expend much less energy if she swam in the slipstream of one of the larger animals. The mares were out of the question, the only one who seemed a strong enough swimmer was Aliera and she wasn't likely to tolerate her company. Kind and diplomatic as Mermydon's was she didn't think she could stand to spend hours with him, he just didn't seem... fun. So it was down to Raka and Akega. She would decide which one to trail once they set off.

"Nonsense, it would be an insult to my mother not to use the name she gave me." Raka followed after Akega.

Yal then floated slightly. He didn't want to move. He knew he was different he could tell by how everyone looked at him. They looked at him like he was cursed. It made his skin crawl uncomfortably and he didn't like that either. Amethyst noticed he wasn't chasing her. She turned around and saw her brother caught up in his thinking.

Amara Looked at him a bit shocked before taking his offer leaning against his shoulder she was truly red now, "T-thank you.." she said lowering her head. Mermydon had asked something of them, but she couldn't hear what it was as she was quite distracted with the fact she was so close to Smit.
