August fluffed up his feathers. "Very well. A man is found at the bottom of a thirteen story building. Judging by the investigations, the man somehow fell from the top story and died on impact. The police say it's suicide, but I suspect homicide. So to prove my point, I climb to the top story, open the window, and drop a penny. How does this prove that the incident was murder?"

"The window was closed so the man could not have jumped from the top story window because if he had the window would have been open not closed," Scarlet answers, "please give me a hard one."

August tipped his head slightly, sporting a testy look in his eyes. "Have you heard that one before or are you just that good?" He asked with a chuckle.

"It's common sense a dead man cannot close a window that he has jumped from," Scarlet replies.

"You're just that good." August replied. "Alright, I'll try something more abstract. How can you take two away from five and end up with four?"

"I've always disliked math but if you take away two letters it wouldn't work. Basic math is three," Scarlet gets up and starts pacing, "is there another variable in the equation?"

August merely preened his wing idly in response. "Are you sure?"

"Yes like I said I do not like math and am not good at it," Scarlet replies.

August stretched out a wing and glanced around. "Does anybody else want to give it a go?"
