Well, right now, there's only three (and the madame will be minor) so I'm not too worried. I'm thinking of introducing two more, one this chapter and one another chapter.
So, a total of five, one minor, possibly two minor.
Edit: Not trying to sound arrogant. I'm just saying that I definitely am trying to be careful. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.

Question of the weekmonth idk anymore:
How often do you write? How many words do you usually write at a time?
For me, I try to write at least a paragraph a day. Usually I get 100-1000 words a day - though last night I accidentally stayed up til 3 and wrote 5k words. There is no in between.
If you're looking to write more but feel like you can't - fear not! I have a maybe solution. Set aside 16 minutes or so a day to write. Not necessarily your current WIP or main project, just write. Describe the room you're in. Describe the plant on your desk. When you can do that easily, turn those 16 minutes to your main projects, and you'll have words in no time.*
*I am a very scheduled person. May not work for lads of chaos
I've spent way too much time playing a certain anime game on my cellular. If only I had the dedication for writing... anyone else suffer as such? xD
Lastly, small rant time. I hate hate hate those instagram/tumblr writing advice posts. Aside from the fact that most of them are 'don't do this because NO ONE will sign for you,' they're just... bad and/or poorly thought out. Lately, I read one that told me to KILL MY MAIN CHARACTER to develop side characters. Ahem. Dissertation on why this is so, so wrong and terrible advice:
Your main character may be the reason someone is reading your book. Kill them off, you kill off a reader as well. Good authors DON'T need to kill someone to forward someone else's development unless it's ABSOLUTELY integral to the plot. Then again, it's likely that if a plotkilling is necessary it isn't the MC. Good authors take the time and words to fully expand on side characters and love interests. From reading your work, readers should know how Side Character would act if Main C died/was murdered. You don't need to show them.
Anyhow, my little rant. hehe. Writing at its core is giving the world a piece of you. Write what you want. Just, please, if you kill the main character, end the book. They're the main character for a reason.

Lately, I read one that told me to KILL MY MAIN CHARACTER to develop side characters.
Another reason: The main character is, usually, the center of a story. Kill them off, the story ends.
Most stories end this way as a jarring ending. Well, okay, that just means I won't be rereading that book, but okay.
But if your character is literally the center of the plot, you ruin your story.
Good example is my own. The main character follows a guy who recently got a mind wipe trying to find out his past, why his friend reacts the way he does, etc etc. The plot is literally this guy trying to find out about his past while his friend tries to block all attempts. If I kill the guy, my plot is dead. If I kill the friend, there is no more tension in the plot, the story becomes lifeless.
So, if the main is really important, do not kill them mid story unless you're okay with killing your story as well or you have an idea about continuing the plot.
Now, I have to go to bed.

Right??? It's just askjfhaldkfns main character? MAIN character? Hrrmmmspjgs? Like the only story that gets to end with the MC dying is one about an old granny who goes on a heroic quest, succeeds, and dies peaceful 20 years later after telling the story to her grandson.
hold up a minute I have a new idea xD
It's almost like people don't know what main character means. Yours is a good example - another is like a personal vengeance thing. If the villain hates the hero with every fiber of their being and whoops, hero takes a tumble onto a bandit's sword, villain loses purpose. Story ends. And in TV, episodes with side character development (not that it's a bad thing) are generally regarded as filler. And are generally less liked than plot-related episodes. I wonder why.... Could it have anything to do at all with a certain main character? /s

Seriously?! Someone recommended that you should kill off the main character for side characters. They are prioritizing the extras over the main character. In a book I read recently the main character died for a pretty crappy reason and I was enraged. I mean, you want to get a good book! Not some book that will get ditched within days! Sorry, just ranting.
