This hallway alone always made Morocco wonder if Verne had hired a maid, or if Verne himself was-

"Moi ami! Might you join us for a little morning meal? This young lady," Verne gestured to the blonde in a sunhat, "offered us a tour of one of the museum wings. I was just about to get you, but I see you're already here."

"Oh!" Morocco said, jumping a little in surprise, "Erm, yes. I would like to hear the offer of a tour in the museum."

"Oh! I was unaware either of you spoke English," said the lady. She curtsied. "Madame Alexdria Ellington."

Morocco bowed. "Doctor Thaddeus Morocco," he said. He straightened himself out. "Apologies for," he gestured towards the corner of the hallway, "my, er, placement in this house. I assumed Jules was hoping we'd meet in somewhere less awkward than a hallway."

"I'd assume so," said the madame. "I definitely would not want to meet new people in a hallway." She chuckled.

dont worry, i have that problem too i spent practically a week rewriting one chapter of fanfic because.....
gosh darn do you know how hard it is to write a scene that reveals a lot but also is written from the veiewpoint of a 13-year-old-warrior-boy who's supposed to be pretty observant but also clueless about earth stuff???? and he's observing a group of 20-some people and doesn't know their names but the audience knows them-

*screams* i was so happy to get to the next chapter where i could let all hell break loose-

also writing looks good :) don't forget to keep it so that the reader isn't overwhelmed with too much hapening.....always a risk the more characters involved
