She nodded once and returned to the bedroom. She had other things to think about than if things had changed between them. For example, some pervert got caught taking pictures of Maria.

Victor tried to not think about that stuff as quite honestly he just wanted to sleep. He went over to the bed and took one side and as little space as possible, facing the wall. He knew that a lot of talking needed to be done.. and honestly he was afraid the toxic levels were getting higher.

Alaska couldn't sleep, worrying that something bad would happen...again. She was still as she laid in bed, overthinking a lot of things

Victor might of been very tired but he somehow also couldn't sleep.. he wasn't so much overthinking, more like he just wasn't able to sleep. Everything was uncomfortable.. plus he was still angry about the guy earlier who was taking photos.. but he was dead so he wouldn't think over it too much.

Soon, she found herself next to Victor, a little out of habit, a little out of wanting comfort.

Victor felt her beside him, and he froze up.. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to turn over, pull her close, he wanted to do all that.. but he was scared she'd just push him away again like she usually did.

She felt him tense. She felt kind of bad, but she didn't move away, and she didn't move closer. She didn't say anything, either, but she did sigh, a kind of sad sound

That made him feel bad also.. he knew she needed him or in the least wanted him close right now and here he was, pushing away the mother of his children. He exhaled softly, and slowly shifted to face her. " Are you alright? " He asked softly.

She nodded. "As much as I can be...Why?"

" You seemed to sound a bit sad.. " He murmured softly, still not putting his arms around her or anything. " Is there anything on your mind? "
