Raka's body collided with the morrko, even with the added resistance of the water the impact was enough to dent armor and crack bone. Somehow Raka emerged relatively un harmed save for a rather bad nose bleed. The morrko was not so fortunate.

Completely spent, the soft glow he had been producing faded with his remaining energy he pulled out of the dive and with one last burst of speed distanced himself from the morrko. The impact would have killed any normal morrko but this one had powerful magic and he was not planning on taking one of those spells head on.

Raka swam past his allies and straight to Amethyst leaning against her he relaxed slightly, allowing her to carry some of his weight. "I'm done... that's all I had..."

"Okay." Amethyst swam and she looked back at Yal. He was gazing at her but magic held him frozen. He tried to say something but nothing came out. She looked at Raka.

Kipper had been enjoying her mud bath when things suddenly seemed, off. She stood and slowly climbed the shore not bothering to clean off the mud she was better camouflaged this way.

There was a morrko on the island. He hadn't been there earlier, had he? Before she could get a better grasp of the situation the battle broke out. She could do nothing to help. Her companions were in danger and she couldn't do anything about it...

After Raka had pierced the surface the last time she began to become worried, she could feel the Magic power this foe had, and it was great almost like that of an elemental, but not quite as spastic, she was unsure of haw to tackle this problem, if only she could see them she could assist with some Restraint of their opponent. She soon felt the tan stallions power flicker into a fade as if he had been injured. She paced at the Bank of the small island as she waited for someone to surface.

Raka had definintely done his work, though he spent all the energy he had left and now would suffer. Amethyst was now going to need to protect him, while Mermydon would need to handle things from above now. He could sense the other kelparie in the water, it desired blood, the blood of other kelparie! But also it loved its sister more than it desired the blood. ~Akega, where are you? Amethyst, why does this beast care for you?~ He wondered magnetically at Amethyst..

He sensed, rather than understood, that this morkko was a necromancer. And now it was coming at him to get at the life giving air. He instinctively invoked his light power and began to emit a bright aura that quickly engulfed him into a bright silhouette. He expected the light would burn the morkko necromancer's eyes, and his lifeforce energy began to draw from its heart. His light shined so brightly that Amara could see the lake bed through the surface of the lake. And Mermydon's sun bright silhouette charged headlong at the morkko and slamming his head under his ribs to force his lungs to expel his air then continued forcing him to the seafloor.

~Yal!~ Her mind shouted. ~Help him! He doesn't know anything!~ She pleaded. She could imagine what had happened to her brother. He wasn't healthy. He was sick from the magic. Yal was in mortal terror. Yal screamed silently. He searched for the mare. His eyes landed on a Stallion. He felt like crying but he couldn't move. Magic searched him and seeked out weakness. He felt the pain. He wanted to cry out. He then thought of killing. He was allowed to move. He was forced to head towards Amethyst. He struggled against it. He kicked at the water.

The morkko then shrieked causing Yal to have energy attack his bones. The light burned but was even worse was he had lost his pawn and now he was weaker. He had taken energy from Yal and turned it into magic.

He felt his connection to the mortal fade, he had feared this would happen. Had he possessed the capacity he would have been angry at the stallion for being so irresponsible.
He had not wanted to do this, it had been 600 years since their bond was formed and he had worked hard to keep the mortal alive during that time. And now in the span of a single day he had managed to expend all the power gifted to him. He would not live long.

There was no going back once this was done it would be permanent but, he had no choice.

Transporting himself to the mortal realm he gave one solemn fair well to the realm that had been his home for his entire existence. He gathered his essence into a semi solid form and dove into the water, they would need to be on the same plane for this to work so he made himself into a fully corporeal being. The sensations associated with possessing a physical form were strange it had been so long after all...
