Jay's eyes lit up when he heard Mrs. Mouse's name. Finally, something to end all this chasing each other around! "You're a friend? I'm very glad to meet you. I thought for sure that something sinister was stalking us, but you two don't look bad at all." Even if he'd met neither Genesis or August, if they were friends with Mrs. Mouse, then they had to be good people. "It's very nice to meet you!"

Genesis grinned even brighter since it seemed she'd finally caught up with the strangers she'd seen before. "Yes, we are all good friends. I'm sorry if I bothered you before, but I just wanted to know what you were doing."

August let noise that he could only call a chuckle... or maybe a cluck. It expressed amusement at Genesis's optimism, either way. He casually alighted on the ground for now and tilted his head slightly, inviting Jay to join him.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too." August agreed, preening his wings. "Right, I should probably let you know, then. Mrs. Mouse told me that she, Grey, and those two felines should be on their way here... Or, to that water back that way, at least. I offered to scout ahead for them, I met Genesis here, and she helped me find you all."

Scarlet saw Jay stay put and ran toward him stopping when she saw August.
"Who are you? How did you get here? Are you the the one who has been following us,' Scarlet asked.

(Mrs. Mouse ain't there actually.)

Jay ruffled his feathers, grinning when Scarlet decided to join them. "Yeah, they were following us, but they're friends. August said that Mrs. Mouse and the others are trying to find their way here so we should probably all stay put unless we want to try to go back." That other room had been interesting, but Jay honestly wasn't sure they could find their way back at this point.

Genesis gave Scarlet a suspicious look when she bounded over, but a second later, she grinned. "It's nice to meet you. And you guys are so nosy that all the animals know about you. Very easy to follow!" she exclaimed with a clap of her hands.

((Mrs. Mouse and Grey are together elsewhere but their timeline hasn't moved in a bit.))

Scarlet looks at Genesis, "Curiousity killed the cat and almost killed the fox. Thanks for telling us that we are among friends.

August chuckled-- or maybe clucked-- at Scarlet's anology. "It's nice to meet you as well, both of you." He replied. "Now, do you mind if I ask where you were off too? I'm not sure what's out this way..."

Hunter realized that people were talking without him. Scarlet was gone, he just sensed it. "Fox dung." He says with a yawn, getting up and plodding to get towards his friends. "Hi all." He says, sitting down.

The Menagerie wouldn't let them stay in contact if they parted ways and they each had different skills and more prominent senses. It made him miss the wonderful days of cellphones and GPS. "I suppose we can make compasses with lodestones, but we'd have to find that first," he mused. "Oh, and I don't know if it was a small cat or a weasel or what. I saw the tracks after these eyes were watching us. Gave me all sorts of shivers!" ~~~ "My name is Genesis," The ferret said, rolling onto her back and grinning up the parrot. "What's your name? I would love to get to be your friend as well. Then we can go find your other friends and stop all this restlessness. I don't like restless animals." ~~~ Mrs. Mouse peeked around the corner but saw no animals immediately. "I think the way is clear. This looks like the way to the upper floor. I can see the skylight! But..." She squinted as she slipped into the room, looking around. "There's something strange about the light in here..."

Grey's hackles rise as her nerves rise. "This light isn't... Natural." Grey suggests, padding forward on her big paws, almost completely silent, her head swinging around to observe if any predator was there. "I feel unsettled." She concludes, before bringing Mrs. Mouse forward towards the light source and going on her hind legs to let her have a closer look.
"I can stay on my hind legs for only a minute or so. Can you see what is making the light then?" Grey asks

"Oh hi Hunter this is Genesis and Augustus. Sorry about leaving you behind like that but I had to make sure Jay here didn't wind up as some animal's dinner," Scarlet intruduces Hunter to the others.
