Amethyst continued to swim around. Little flashes of the past going through her head. She remembered how happy she was when she had first met Yal. Her baby brother. She had loved him deeply and became very protective but she now found it had been a waste. Now her brother is gone and Monra hated her for it. She knew it was Monra's way of hiding the pain. She had cut her fin and blamed Yal when it had happened. Amethyst sighed and went under the water. Then she thought of what her foal would look like. Would it be like when she thought of Yal as hers? Would she be protective once more? Would she be strong enough to handle the pain? Amethyst felt like crying but she didn't understand why. Was it because she was weak now? Was it because she thought of Yal like she had one done? No it wasn't. In the distance she saw the same morkko she saw that one unfair day. She thought of challenging it wondering if it had eaten her brother. Or was it an old one? Had the Morkko saved her brother? Wait what was that flash in the water? Could it be? No it couldn't! It just couldn't be!

Grim Rose sat by the hatchling that was inside of the egg and she felt older. She looked for Metal and then she knew where he went. He went to watch the group. She couldn't leave it alone. She just couldn't bring herself to do it. Though she longed for the wind that didn't exist here. She longed for the sun that yet didn't exist here. Here it was eternal night and no ryori would ever long for the outside world. Yet she did. She wished for the non-poisonous waters. Metal watched the others and smiled. They didn't seem to be moving anytime soon. Metal sighed then. He looked towards the shadow. And he went back inside. The egg was almost fully cracked. An eye was looking out of it. Grim Rose comforted the egg and Metal watched in awe. He never thought Grim Rose would be such a great mother because of how aggressive she had been to him previously. Metal went back and he padded into the shadows and listened to the conversation of the stallions and mares of the kelpari. He listened closely to every word.

Metal sat down and gazed at Mermydon. He knew he was a strong leader. He could tell by the unseen muscles beneath the skin. He could tell by how he held himself. He was truly worth of the title of prince. Metal smiled. His orbs started to glow which signaled at times danger. He suddenly was alert and perked his ears. He picked out the sound of something. He want to tell the others but he couldn't break his cover. He closed his eyes and searched out with his hearing. He heard something off in the water in the lake. He knew it was far away but he knew that was where the danger was. He picked out the sound of a kelpari no two. He emerged slowly from the shadows. "Go to the lake NOW something isn't right!" Metal yelled his voice sounding louder than expected. "Now! Two Kelpari are in trouble!" Metal then gasped for air and said. "MAGIC!"

~~~~~~~~~~~
Blood........ blood. The creature thought. What is it? Blood? No it can't be Blood. Is it? It smells like it....... could it be? No it couldn't. "Blood?" The creature said underwater but the sound was drowned out. He met face to face with something. He turned to run but he was frozen. He was staring into the eyes of another mare. He thought he remembered it from somewhere. He finally turned to run but he saw Blood. Blood! He thought No! My! My! Mine! Is it mine? No it's mine! Back off! He growled and swam fast. His mind set on one goal. He only saw red but he knew his target. He was almost gone in the blink of an eye. The mare watched in shock. He wasn't thinking. Suddenly magic pierced him and he went flying into the mare.
"MINE!" He yelled and tried to swim at the morkko. The mare watched in fear and amazement. "MINE BLOOD!" He yelled again. "She Mine!" The mare tried to move but was frozen. He turned to the mare and nudged her. "Run! I take Blood." He said softly. His skinny body slid easily through the water. The mare tried once more but her blood was chilled and she couldn't think straight enough. This creature was a kelpari yet he didn't look like it. Magic had twisted him. "Yal?" The mare asked. He then nodded. Was it talking to him though? He didn't know if he was this so called Yal. All he knew was he had to save this mare from Blood. He shielded the mare with his body. His fins were like hers. He glared at Blood saying Don't-touch-mare. He was so slick that the water seemed to run from him. He swam once more at the Morkko. He was thrown back more painfully than before. He crashed into the bank. His eyes were blood shot and he seemed to be determined.
Foolish The morkko thought So the mare won't run! She should have listened to my pawn. She was foolish! The morkko sent energy towards the mare. He saw his pawn get in front of it and crash into the bank. How could it be so dumb? Had he done something wrong with his reprogram? I will take the mare now! The morkko thought bitterly. Suddenly he tried to break the shell of magic that protected her. He was suddenly attacked when his focus was diverted. He felt a body collide with his. He directed the energy at his pawn quickly.
Amara noticed the one speaking was Him... the elemental cross tan stallion, he seemed to be feeling quite a bit better, and his elemental source seemed to be gone. "O-of course.." she stuttered gesturing to the basket in front of Mermydon. How did he know her name? had they met before? she doubted it as may creatures of the woods had forgotten her name, and only He had remembered her name... but there was no was a fragment of his elemental power had dislodged into another being... was there?
His meal was forgotten, his mate was in danger. Raka was in the water before he heard metal shout, he sensed it too. He needed to be fast. He used his momentum to leap out of the water and extended his wings to increase his height. Once at the apex of the leap he pointed his nose back down towards the water and, with one powerful flap of his wings rocketed back down towards the lake surface. Using the speed he gained from the dive he repeated the maneuver reaching the centre of the lake in a fraction of the time he normally could have done.
What he saw made no sense. A morrko stood on the shore of the island, she emanated some strange unfamiliar magic. And there was Amethyst and... a kelpari? The strange almost skeletal stallion resembled his mate in a certain way and he was protecting Amethyst, or at least trying to. He was so wild that Raka doubted that he was entirely in control of himself.
Raka dove back into the water one last time and shot past Amethyst and the strange stallion. Light reflected of of them both coming from... him?
Raka felt stronger, if only slightly as if someone was giving him a push. He felt prepared to face whatever was happening here.
The morkko sent sudden energy his way. "NO MINE THEY LEAVE!" The kelpari male shouted. "MARE LEAVE!" Amethyst was still yet she saw something flash by. She didn't know what it was but she suddenly felt safe. Morkko sent tons of energy then towards the mare he had seen. Amethyst saw Yal or what she believed was Yal move in front of her. She gasped as she felt Yal hit her hard. It didn't hurt as much as she thought it would though. Amethyst looked at Raka hoping he would be okay. The morkko laughed and sent tons of energy at Raka. His magic was strong but yet the user was slowly fading as he was almost emotionless.
Raka breached the surface once more, just barely dodging a blast from the morrko. The blast knocked him off course and he was forced to correct himself mid air. He dove straight at the morrko standing on the shore, his hooves colliding hard with the morrko's armoured skull putting a heavy dent in its helm. He used the morrko's body to lessen the impact against the shore though he still hit the ground hard. Before his opponent had time to regain his bearings Raka hit him hard with his tail adding another tear to the already heavily torn fins on his tail. Using the movement from his attack Raka pushed back into the water and swam around to Amethyst. He swam past her and circled back around to face his mate's aggressor.
Yal nodded. "Blood!" Yal threatened and then yelled. "Mine!" He swam quickly at the morkko that was starting to get up. He was aggressive and dragged the morkko under the water. He felt the energy torture his bones but he didn't budge. He dragged the morkko down deeper until he wasn't seen. Yal then swam up but then he froze. His eyes were wide and he gazed at the mare. Amethyst watched as he sank.
"What happened?" Amethyst asked. She felt the urge to swim after Yal who was frozen in the water. Suddenly a scream was heard.
((OOC: fun fact Morkkos and Nixis are about the same height XD Just found that out Morrkos are only about a foot taller))
Amara Sensed the Danger about the same time as Raka and her attention was drawn to the center of the Lat at the lone Island. She didn't know much of what she could do but she couldn't sit and do nothing this time. She felt a sudden rush of encouragement as she could fell her elemental orb lighten a bit and sprinted into the woods to take cover. she was too nervous she didn't was her elemental orb to take over but she knew it would help the others. She suppress the glowing runes that were starting o appear, and bolted back out. Raka was already in the center of the lake, and Amara knew he could handle the water better than her, but their enemy was on land and more exact near quite a bit of vegetation. She sprinted to the shore keeping her eyes closed as her feet hit the water and soon meant by a sizable Lilly pad. though it wouldent hold her weight long she could create a path to the shore and give her some leverage on the surface. She did just that , and after a few minutes made it to the shore unnoticed. though she had suppressed her orb for now but she wouldent sit idly if Amara got into a tight situation. Amara took a deep breath and turned her attention to the Morrko on shore, " Hey Jerk! why not Play with someone your own size!" She yell suddenly retracting as her words were extremely out of character for her, but it was the best she could do. it wasn't long before another had dragged the Morkko into the lake and Amara could do nothing more to help.
It was a sweet moment of bliss really. He grasped a few dandelion greens to grind over his teeth and left the choice fruit for Raka. With brother gone, Heroine aloof and Raka scarfing fruit. He decided to ease his way back towards his betrothed and graze on some fishes with Kanakwella. He was playfully brushing his cheek and muzzle next to hers sporting for the same fishes. Some he would get and others he would let her sneak off. He wanted to clean her muzzle and possibly boop her a time ot two to show his affection he wanted to cultivate between them. She didn't have any reason to honor the betrothal placed upon them by his ancestor. But he truly wanted to build a relationship with his betrothed with so much advanced opportunity. He took a chance to lick at the side of her mouth to get her attention, when his hopes were interrupted yet again, causing his flesh to ripple over his neck and shoulders. [ "Go to the lake NOW something isn't right!" Metal yelled his voice sounding louder than expected. "Now! Two Kelpari are in trouble!" Metal then gasped for air and said. "MAGIC!" ]
He was confused for a moment, everyone was accounted out of the water? Then he remembered. "Amethyst and Akega!" He gasped, though he hadn't forgotten about Kipper either. But Raka had rushed into the lake waters as though he was fully rested. Mermydon knew that would be a mistake but there was nothing for it. "Lady Morkko, Aleria come with the others as quickly as you can." He ordered them; as much as he hated to do it. The stallion prince raced along the water's edge and began fly fish flapping his fin-wings. He began running atop the water, allowing his hooves to rudder him and keep his body upright. Flight was a recent trait amid kelparie so Raka and Akega would probably think it foreign at best, witchcraft at worst. But he saw that the fray was already indulged. Some mutated kelpie beast was protecting Amethyst, From a Morkko?!? Alas there was kelpie blood in the water and it didn't appear to be Raka's. He had hoped Akega wasn't badly injured lest it attract sprites. He guessed the morkko appeared to be the source of the problem and assessed the situation quickly... He hoped not too quickly as he folded in his fins and dropped into the water. Once wet he magnetically communicated through his lines to the other stallions.
~Raka go for a high leaping attack and keep the morkko stallion from surfacing. Akega if you are able, bring on a surprise low attack once and help that creature if you can, but if it attempts to attack you, flee that attack. I'll come in from land side and bring some magic on his back side to catch it in a three way pincer. Once he turns to attack me Raka, keep yourself above it and use your weight to keep him under. With any luck we can keep it too busy to attack both of us. Go!~ Now it was a matter of timing and tactic.
((OOC: Katelynn4545 was correct, I was posting when that was added. I have modified the post. ))
Raka began building his momentum once more, this was what he was built for he knew it. His wings were the strongest part of him and always had been. He had never before preformed this breaching maneuver but he knew it instinctively.
With every leap he built speed, keeping his gas lungs filled as to resurface more easily. He was circling the battle undoubtedly providing quite the distraction. Every time he submerged he gathered as much information as possible, and every time he took to the air he scanned the area for any sign of more danger. He circled tighter and tighter, each leap taking him higher into the air. He was above the morrko's position nearly thirty or forty feet in the air when he dove. He expelled the air from his lungs, it would only diminish his speed once he hit the water.
With unprecedented speed Raka plunged into the water head first.
