Taka rushed over to Heroine without really considering why. He nudged her gently with his muzzle and turned to face a concerned Kanakwella. "She is physically unharmed but..."

(OOC: I'm on my phone so I don't have access to my ping list sorry)

Mermydon produced a genuine closed mouth smile at the return of Dhuka and Amara, and who was this strange male zolnixi? At first the prince wondered if he was Amara's mate the way she played coy about him; like he was the only male zolnixi she had in her life. But then he leapt into the lake as though he hadn't a care in the world. This interested Mermydon greatly, especially considering the slain ones that Dhuke was carrying by the tail in her maw. Smit's antics caused Mermydon's stomach to rumble since it had been a very long time since he had live zolnixi flesh. Out of courtesy, he held off from leaping into slaughter Smit. The vulpine didn't appear to be in any distress but was, in fact, relishing a good swim. He wondered to himself if Miara or Amethyst were nearby and would crave an easy meal, besides Dhuka had brought plenty for him to enjoy. That said, he noticed that Amara had a basket full of fruits, berries, and vegetation. Not the most appealing meal stuffs, but they would last longer than the meat. "Welcome back, with my thanks at the very least. To be honest I thought you two may have decided to leave us as the bulbori did. I am very glad to be proven wrong in this. So who is your new friend? Or is he, hopefully, a nuisance that has so decently thrown himself into the lake for us to feast on something live?" Mermydon thanked and enquired of Dhuka and Amara. Of course Smitty wasn't in a very good situation There were three male and one female kelparie covering the shore never mind any that Mermydon hadn't mentioned in the water that might hear the faint doggie-paddle that could be mistaken as distressed swimming. All-in-all it made Smitty appear like the main entree in a small smorgasbord of terran delicacies. Besides, Amethyst and Meara had been away for sometime. With any luck the chemical signature of live nixi in the water, or dead nixi in the air, would interest them. He held his peace upon how the prince and princess had shown him less than presentable respect for an equal by ignoring his questions concerning Raka. He in fact wanted to pull Kanakwella aside and talk to her a little more. But his pearls were glowing a little brighter and his countenance arose a little from the increase in light. He had a sense that Heroine's faltering may be partly to do with this benefit. For now that wasn't something he should bother to dwell upon. "Let's hurry up and enjoy some of what our terran friends have supplied for us that we can seek a safer harbor for ourselves." He told everyone. Then he looked at Amara and noted the carnivorous fare and thought it best to tell her. "It might be best you not be witness to our feasting Amara. But I should like to sample some of your dainties." He waited patiently for Amara to respond, but Aleria returned with the elemental life orb to give to Mermydon. ((OOC: My apologize in advance to Lauren to NPC Aleria for the moment.)) Mermydon received the orb gratefully from the sea unicorn, once he had it in his teeth he closed his eyes and began to focus upon his own light orb. He understood the importance of exchange one for one and a water elemental was a much greater source than Mermydon's. He concentrated very hard on his body began to shine with a bright yellow aura. Then in a moment his life orb materialized in place of the blue elemental orb. He truly hoped there was no source of water in Grim Rose's realm lest the creature revive. As for his own life orb, he absorbed it back into his own life energy and felt whole once more. The aura slowly dissipated and Mermydon's stomch grumbled even louder than before.

"Let's eat!" He exclaimed with a smile.

Dhuka~female~morkko

The voice next to her broke her thoughts as she watched the nixi swim back towards the shore. He really could swim, better than she could really. "I came to drop off the food but plan on going back to get more. This clearly wont be enough to feed everyone." With that she stood shaking the dead grass from he fur as she did. She went to turn away when the water at the bank started to almost bubble almost. "What the-?" The morkko asked before getting hit in the head with a fish. Startled she stepped back as a whole school of fish seemingly jump right up on shore. Meara followed them.

Meara~female~Kelpari

In a mad panic the fish jumped out of the water onto the bank, just as she had hoped. She followed in presuit. "Lunch is served!" She said happily as the fish flopped around her. "Sorry for the mess, but I thought this would help with the food situation."

Smit~male~zolnixi

He climbed ashore, shaking his fur clean of water. These people, or animals were quiet the bunch! He really liked them, though time would tell if they liked him back.

Amara hadn't had time to respond about Smit when the bunch started to seem rather hungry, and Mermydon summoned her for a taste of her findings. She nodded and trotted over placing the basket in front of the stallions large front hooves. A delightful sweet smell wafted from the basket it was filled with all sorts of berries as well as apples and a few peaches. " I don't really know much about how creatures of the sea such as yourself eat, the Qitari really like the sweet fruit so I figured that would be a good guess. " She said felling a it more comfortable now even though her ears were flat to her head. " Oh and the um....strange nixi goes by Smit, he was in a tight situation... and i'm guessing he wants to come along...as would I.." She sad a bit more shyly feeling she had asked a lot of the prince to join him and his companions. As soon as the words escaped her mouth there was a sudden shoring of fish. She luckily had been far enough away to not get wet, but she still backed up away tucking her tail.

Heroine herd water and awoke from her deep slumber she backed away as quick as possible but wasn't herself she felt stronger somehow as if there was another being in her...

kanakwella was relived she went over to heroine then herd mermydon speak 'Lets eat!' she went over to the pile of various different things including fish

Akega he herd mermydon as well but he would rather hunt on his own so he dove into the river to find a female kelpari swiming around "what are you doing here miss?" akega said as he emerged out of the water

Raka felt a jolt go through him as Heroine shot to her feet, he jumped back in surprise at the two (or was it one) events combined. Blinking a few light spots from his vision he turned his attention to the meal before him, there was quite a lot to choose from. He hadn't realized exactly how hungry he had been. He was a little underfed to begin with even before the days rather taxing events.

"I would like to partake in some of your wares Amara, it has been some time since I had quitari food."

Raka eyed the meat as well, but dismissed it. There was not much to begin with and anyways he preferred fish when it came to eating flesh, something about eating something with fur still upset him.

The Lupora, Bluebolt, and the Aurleon chick, Lyrica, continued down the desert road. Roads were rare here, but when there was a road, it lead to a city... or outside the desert. Blue was going because of Lyrica. "I always wanted to see it," the chick had said. And now they had stopped their wanderings and started down the desert road in search of The Beyond. Bluebolt fluttered her wings as the chicken perched on her head, singing:

"Woah-oh!
Headed down the desert road
Lands Beyond what we call home
Lie at the end of the desert Road

Other Sylesties
That's where they roam
At the edge of this land
Down the desert ro-ooooad!"
