Genesis scurried along. Even though she'd lost track of the animals she saw before, she had a good idea where they were headed since she knew The Menagerie so well. "You're not also looking for a way out are you? Because I'd really love if my new friends would stay."

Jay was just about to continue worrying when Scarlet's words sunk in. "I...what? Someone is following us? Why didn't you say so sooner?!" Not focusing on pointing north anymore, he looked around, eyes all squinted as he puffed up. The question was, what did Scarlet see that he was missing? "You mean those two specks over back toward the oasis? Are they coming this way?"

August ruffled the feathers on his nape. He didn't really want to say no, so rather than actually answer, he glanced down at the ferret and titled his head slightly. "You'd like to stay here?" He inquired.
