Amethyst caught a fish and tossed it up playfully. It hit her on the muzzle and flopped there for a while. She huffed and shook her head. The fish landed in the water and Amethyst smiled. She continued to swim along.

Mermydon stared at Meara like a calf looking at a new gate? The idea that stallions asked mares to be their partner was completely foreign to him; never mind exclusivity. As a member of the royal family, exclusive mating rights, was the sole possession of the queen. Her offspring were betrothed to members of other royal families for treaties and alliances. Likewise, the queen had the power to choose who the king services, which was also politically driven since it usually increased the lake holdings. Here she asked the one question he had never been expected to have the answer for. His uncertainty fluctuated his lateral field. "If you desire to mate with me, I will not refuse you my service. You deserve to be a mother. But if you need sound proof of my worth, I will do so in the morning when we head upstream." Kanakwella began rising out of the water her brother not on the steadiest legs. Mermydon came over quickly to shoulder the weight of the renown Prince Akega Of Hallenjax. Thus easing the burden on Kanakwella. Even without lateral lines Meara could see that he cared for the welfare of the very young Princess. But she could sense from his field that she was the betrothed he had mentioned to her. This was a delicate situation indeed. If Akega was frozen during the war also he may still think it is going on. "Take your rest great prince of Hallenjax. You have found your way into Astry's Tranquility, there is no threat of Shaldonites here." He said, using the old name of his nation from before the great pilgrimage. He took his eyes off the other stallion to look around for anymore surprises. Hopefully for Amara and Dhuka to return so they could get moving.

Dhuka~female~morkko/ Smit~male~Zolnixi

"Then what we be waitin' fer? Let's get goin'!" The male said wagging his curled tail about as he trotted off with his nose to the ground. Dhuka looked to Amara wondering what in the world could she be thinking inviting this weird stranger along with them? Whatever it was it was on her if he got into trouble. Reluctantly she followed the nixi whom surprising managed to find his way forward.

"From where I stand it sounds like you asked me to be your mate. And you didn't do it in a very convincing way." She answered dragging herself back to the water. "I'm not doubting you I'm just not convinced that I am really who want."

"ugh" said akega "thank you" he added while trying to walk over to his sister "i think i remember some now kanawell" said akega in a mighty voice being out of the water made him sound much deeper in talking "Mermydon thank you for helping my brother." said kanakwella Heroine started to lay down and get ready to sleep when she herd a loud bang in the forest "ugh just when i started falling asleep"

He couldn't believe his ears, this was deja vu all over again. ((OOC: See pages 16-18))

Apart of him was very, very tempted to chase after this mare just like he did Aleria and confront Meara about what she wanted in life. But that would be foolish considering he had already given his word to prove himself on the morrow. Besides, he didn't want to give her the impression he was that easy to manipulate. He just looked to the cascade, knowing it would serve that purpose.

[ "Mermydon thank you for helping my brother." said kanakwella ] "Think nothing of it my queen. He is your brother and should be given no less care than youself." He said to Kanakwella, daring to rub his muzzle against hers before her brother. He looked him in the eye and introduced himself. "I am Prince Mermydon of Shaledon, and before you raise your hoof prince you may wish to understand what has befallen you. But it should wait until we find a safer place to rest." He stomped his hoof close by Heroine. "We cannot continue resting here Heroine, your sire knows this place. Once our foraging group returns most of us will be in for quite a swim."

Amethyst saw before her eyes Yal as he rushed down the waters of that forsaken river. She swam closer to Raka feeling comforted. She felt nice more happy as well as she was joyful and felt safe. Amethyst swam along until she saw the new light of the open space. She got out and walked along the river.

"Yeah I am sure." Amethyst said and laid down. "I will be perfectly fine I will rest for now." She curled up to sleep. She fell into a peaceful rest and then she saw a flash back.

Monra and Yal
little monra and Yal were playing until it came to a daring contest. "I dare you to jump in the river and swim out!" Monra said not thinking of the rushing currents hidden beneath the surface of the water as it thrashed and writhed along it's path. Amethyst wasn't looking but when she turned Yal was in the water.Yal was swept downstream in the fast rapids. He screamed for help and thrashed in the water. He was helpless to the waves. Amethyst watched in shock. He was fighting the stream as best as he could but soon was swept away out of sight.
