Alaska noticed out of the corner of his eye and thought he was an army guy and jumped aside, flinching. When she realized it was only Victor, she hugged him tightly, glad to see he was still in one piece.

Victor smiled and hugged her back, kissing her forehead softly while practically putting no pressure on her at all. He was being extremely gentle with her, more then normal.
