Well I don't have much old writing because it was in old notebooks and I got embarrassed after writing a page and tore them out, but I reread my first RPG (on another site) some time ago and I wasn't sure whether to cringe at my horrible narrating "shear the jackalope" (that hasn't improved much) or be really impressed that my eleven year old self wrote genuinely amusing things I definitely wouldn't have come up with now.
And someone used "Flurries" as a swear which I thought was kinda cool (no pun intended)
Aforementioned person was also named Icewing tho so idk about that
(Not because I thought that was the most amazing name ever, there was a reason why and she even acknowledged that it was really weird but... still)

Hmm, well I'll be listening to a song and be like, "Hey, this would be good inspiration for writing a scene, I can imagine it already," but I know better than to try to listen to music while writing because my brain will go in two different directions and I'll end up staring blankly at the music video with a blank document on another tab because trying to concentrate without music is already painful enough \o/

Uhhhh I really like the word dejected for some reason, something about the jec sound is really satisfying and sounds kinda angular in your mouth if that makes any sense?
If we're going for more exotic ones, petrichor and synesthesia are cool too

Two questions, really, for the group to answer. Mostly because I want answers because I want to write something.

1. What's your favorite fanfic website (besides fan fiction.net)?

And 2. Is RPF (real person fic) ever okay? When would it be okay in your mind?

To answer why I have these questions, I want to write a fanfic with real people in it, but no shipping or anything, just like an AU with role switch, based off of a reality TV show and I want y'all's opinions, since you are my first writing community I've been on.

1. AO3 (arcive of our own). way better then Wattpad and Fanfiction.net. It has easy to read tags, warnings, and descriptions. just no covers (but you can put images in)
2. (this is my opinion lol) It's ok as long as it's not super weird. If it is weird, it's normally best to ask the people involved.

1. I think I already have an AO3 account. So, cool! I'm all set by your opinion!

2. That's what I want: your opinion on the topic. So, like, as long as it isn't super weird as in, as long as it isn't shipping peipke (brain, no) people together, defeating fantasy creatures, complete role removal? I mean, my concept isn't the weirdest, but it is based in a paranormal reality TV show.

1. AO3
Much easier to navigate than any other website I've found :3
2. Yes
As long as you don't shove it in the real persons face and try to force it on them, it's really not a problem. Unless, of course, that person has specifically asked not to be shipped.

1. AO3
2. I'm gonna go with a blanket no, for me personally, I don't think people should. Mostly because I think it's creepy and weird and would hate someone writing anything about me without my knowledge/consent or whatever. idk. to me it's just... weird. I remember listening to some youtuber or someone talking about how they felt when finding fanfic like that, and I think that people should remember that who they write about aren't characters, they're real people.

1. Archives or Wattpad (Qoutev's ok)
2. RPF is....cokmplicated. If its someone you know and they approve its friendfic and its usually fine. If its a celeb, um, sure? If its someone in a crossover world, go right ahead. If they say no or itd just be weird, nononononononono
but best not to do it anyways
