( I feel like being cruel to Maveric again for some odd reason.. how about we have Ava and Rose become friends.. and Ava dies, while Rose gets with Victoria, and Maveric is just a mess. Buuut before this.. He picks Ava, because Rose was like " Haha.. nope. " and THEN when they are finally in love and happy, Ava dies. I can 100% change this. )

(No, that sounds really good...and how about Ava dies in his arms which makes his PTSD worse)

Rose was still tinkering with some things, but after awhile gave up on what she was working on. It looked similar to a music box.
