Victor:

He looked to her, tears still welling in his hazel eyes. He took Roger and cuddled the small dog close to him, clearly he did need it badly. " Here. " He said handing her the nails. " For your bat. " He said as he looked back to the body. He put his hands over the eyes and closed them before getting one of the spare inmates sheets and covering the body. He left the room, still holding Roger close to him. He found a desk with a beat up chair and sat down deciding it would be comfortable for now. He just stayed in there sorting out his emotions, clearly distraught by what had happened today. After around 30 minutes he exited the room. " Anyone hungry? I could start a fire in the kitchen and cook something up.. "

Alaska was putting the nails in her bat, Maveric and Lani were talking about something, but they all listened up when they heard the word 'cook'. "We're starving!" Maveric said, his stomach growling. "And are we staying here for the night, cuz..." he pointed out a barred up window, where it was getting darker and darker. "I ain't goin nowhere," Alaska said. "I dunno about you guys, but I'm staying here tonight."

" Same.. I can't exactly go anywhere. I am going to go start cookin' then. " He said as he walked into the kitchen area, figuring out what he could do and starting a fire. Using one of the small pots to cook in. It was a small stew that he sprinkled beef jerky in. He went back to the other, " Food's ready " He said as he went into the kitchen, preparing the bowls.

They all gathered in the kitchen, ready to eat. Maverics stomach growled again, and the aroma from the stew made the girls' mouths water. Alaska hadnt eaten anything like this ever since the whole fiasco started. She had always been moving, except for at night. In the evenings, she had been forced to find shelter for the night

He surved the ladies first and then surved Maveric. He made sure they all had an equal amount of food. Once done surving he went to get himself some but there was very little left. He took it and didn't say anything to the others about getting less. He didn't mind it much because at least he was still eating. To him the stew he made was horrible, it didn't have enough seasoning and it would of been a lot better with more.

Maveric and Lani licked their bowls clean. As for Alaska, she had been living off of very little food for a while and got full easily. She only ate a quarter of her stew, asking If anyone wanted the rest.

" Do you just want to save it? It could last in the open for a day.. " He was trying to not let his stomach growl the best he could but after a few moments there was a very loud *Grrooowl sound coming from him. He turned a shade of red a human should not be able to turn.

"Here." She slid the bowl so it was in front of him, and then stood to go finish her bat. Maveric and Lani stayed at the table. "She's actually not that bad, just a little cocky," Lani said. "A little cocky?" Maveric asked. "Okay, so she's super confident. That's not a bad thing," Lani said, trying to defend Alaska

He ate the rest of it mostly because he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep if he was hungry. He listened to them and said. " She is a little odd.. but she got hurt because of what I did and still came over here and didn't curse at me or anything, if that ain't good character then I don't know what is. " He said as he started to clean up and put out the fire. He could hear distant groans and growls of Zombies, but he mostly ignored it. he really just wanted to get some rest so they could head out tomorrow.

The siblings looked at each other, wondering what he had done. Surely it wasn't all his fault, though, right? By then, Alaska had found the sleeping quarters. She was on a bed, facing the wall, bat next to the bed. She still had the gun in it's holster on her hip, and it actually wasn't that uncomfortable. She was silent as she thought and hoped she would drift off soon
