Victoria shot Alaska a confused look, and Alaska stood, going to see what Victor was using and where he had got the meat from.

Victor had been using fresh beef, so fresh it was still slightly bloody in fact.

"Where'd you get the meat from?" Alaska asked, curious and not a bit worried. She would prove to Victoria that Victor wasn't a cannibal

" Some guy was trading this meat for other supplies. I asked what kind, and he said beef. I even got to sample it and it's real. He was from out in the country and needed some kind of thing to make fire. Traded him a pack of matches and a candle for some great cuts. Why? " Victor asked turning to face her, his eyes a pearly blue.

Alaska shrugged, smiling. "Victoria was worried that you had stripped Lani clean of the flesh on her bones." She rolled her eyes at that. "She's weird like that, though."

Victor turned green almost with pure disgust. " I have done some bad things, never that bad. " Victor mumbled, seeming a little hurt someone thought that of him. " I have respect for the dead. A lot of respect. Comrades the most. "

"I know, but Victoria just didn't seem convinced." Alaska shook her head, disappointed in her sister.

" She can just come and taste it, I have some cooked already if she wants some. I wouldn't eat a human. I am hungry, not desperate. "

Alaska nodded. She then yelled, "Victoria, get in here!" Victoria came in with a shy smile on her face. "Come and try this. He doesn't eat humans, you ding-dong."

Victor got some of the stew in a bowl, making sure to get a nice sized chuck of meat in with it. He handed it to Victoria.
