(I'm concerned for this plot, Ruby.
Set out to have noble drama just to chase around a dog just because the Empress wants his head on the wall. How did this even happen)
Lowell Brichalles
Lowell rested his head against a pond rock, half-dozing and half-thinking over his options. There was no going back to the Alliance and at this rate, Arkaos was going to put him out of work one way or the other.. What a job to fudge.. He should have been far more careful about sticking his hands in the business of royals again. He swore he had left that life behind, but it was all becoming exhausting.
He didn't snap out of his thoughts until he had caught the sound and sight of a man approaching the end of the clearing. Erwen?
No. It couldn't be, his posture was all wrong.
Lowell cursed his terrible luck and kept himself alert, feigning his obliviousness to his unexpected guest, continuing to remain in the cool waters as he idly watched the fading moon in the morning sky.

(xD aren't we all. :p I'm sure once she gets his head on a wall I can...get it back on track)
Gallagher emerged from the forest, walking into the clearing as he drew his swords. He stared at the man in the water the lake.(?) There wasn't anyway he didn't see him. The forest was becoming lighter, and he was facing directly where he had emerged from. He wasn't particularly sure if this was his target, but this man was suspicious.

(Negative, Ghostrider.
I will protect this man with my last breath, he's been too fun. We are recruiting him into the noble drama so help me god, I need my Alliance rep since all the other royal people bounced out. Put those butter knives away.)
Lowell Brichalles
Lowell looked up at the man who approached with wide eyes, pulling his day clothes and overcoat up to cover himself as he stepped hurriedly out of the water.
"Stay back, bandit. I have no coin for you."
He clearly did considering the nice state of his belongings. This man was definitely from some sort of money despite his current ragged state.
He put on a good show at looking terrified, despite having been in this situation many times with one person after his life or another.
He held his own dagger out with his shaking, uninjured arm.
Surely he wouldn't try to fight a naked man. That would be ridiculous.
Just who was this man? He didn't appear to be anyone he recognized.

(hahaha okay xD)
He stared him dead in the eyes. There was no fear in them. His chances of this being the guy he was looking for just went up. He noticed a wound he had on his chest. Even from this distance he could tell that wound was made by the swords of the palace guards.
He spoke. " You are the assassin that threatened the life of Seraphina, correct? "
He held his blades in his hand just in case he tried to make a run for it. Then he would most likely have to take his life.

Lowell Brichalles
He grimaced, calculating his odds of a fight like this going well. When he figured it wasn't well in his favor, he relented and dropped the scared act, keeping the dagger close in hand.
"If you are speaking of the Empress, then yes. I was to be paid by a member of the royal palace to do so. I have no stake in the situation myself."

" She has seeked your audience, then. " He didn't sheath his weapons yet. There was still the task of getting him back to the palace with all the guards roaming out and about.

Lowell Brichalles
Lowell furrowed his brow with a bit of a confusion. He didn't trust the situation nor this man, but considering any other options on hand, he found himself... lacking any other options.
He gave a sigh and sheathed his dagger, feeling the pulse of the sword's energy to call in his other hand.
Ignoring it for now, he spoke again with a slight note of humor in his voice.
"Fine. Might I have a moment to get redressed? I don't exactly care to be stared down like this."

" You have 5 minutes. It would be best not to keep her majesty waiting. " He turned around, walking back into the forest and leaning against a tree. He sensed something odd going on with that mans sword. It didn't really scare him, but it was...offputting. If this man was going to have an audience with the empress, he didn't feel comfortable letting that weapon of his around her.

Lowell Brichalles
He wasted no time getting dried off and redressed after wrapping his chest wound, stopping to pick up his other, fur-covered set of armor of armor from the shrubs.
His sword had rematerialized at his side, sheathed for the moment but glowing of its own volition. If it bothered the man, he didn't seem bothered by it, well aware of the sword's antics by now. He knew it called for bloodshed during the day to fuel its own demonic, dark power, something he made sure not to oblige.
"Let's go. I don't like waiting around either."

He nodded, sheathing his own weapons in their hilts and began walking back towards the city, not saying a word.
