"Why don't we take the third one?" Crimson suggested to the two

Zanzibar didn't look back and hopped into the 4th one with Avery."you've got that look" he replied."Don't trust him?" he asked.

Akio and Akira followed Crimson into the third.
"Is it just me, or is something off about him?" whispered Akio.
Akira said nothing, but was visibly uneasy.

( I wanted to propose an idea, and though it doesn't need to happen it would make things interesting.
What if there was two Mr. Manitobas?
What I am saying is, what if the adopter has a twin who is evil and cruel, but the adopter doesn't believe his brother is capable of hurting them? How would this work? The adopter works long hard days and isn't home often, the brother is home all day and beats them while working them to the bone? Though they like the adopter, they need to escape?
Or, the adopter could be killed leaving the brother to care for them? )

Mason blushed a little, but he snuggled into the smaller boy. He had pulled a blanket over the two of them, trying to keep Nicolas as warm as he could. "I'll try and get all of us out of this as soon as possible.", he muttered to himself, watching out the window.

Ulima finally got into the fourth carriage but not without sending a quick suspicious glare in Mr. Manitobas direction first. She had to admit that the carriage was very nice, A good place to take a nap... She thought before shaking her head, no, she was not going to get attached to this place. The first chance that she'd get Ulima would run, preferably with at least a few other orphans with her.

I think I like it better if the adopter gets killed.

(Oh! Idea! the Adopter currently could be the evil twin here on behalf of his brother trying to play the part, being he is already giving us the creeps. And the good twin could have only wanted to adopt one or two children, but the evil brother has other plans, hence the strange adoption, and one could be at the house during the day and the other at night )
