"I reliase you must have pressures ones I have never had and never will, and the pressures I have had you never will. Its hard, life we can't control how it starts only how it turns out later.' every time she blinked the image of the ryori from her dream came to mind she pushed the image away best she could as she looked Myrmydon in the eye. "I have never had a home, when I first hatched I scavenged for food only assosating myself with few others some other Kelparis my age such like that. When I grew I Killed overdweller sylesties, never have been able to hunt fish not on my oun anyway" She looked away for a split second towards Grim then back at Myrmydons eyes.

He chuckled at the simple truths in her response. Under normal circumstances she was absolutely right, life is just as hard for a lone kelparie on the bottom as it is for any other kelparie in the school, the pressures were just different. "We each do what we must do to survive I suppose." He said with a sigh.
Staring about he took in the scenery, it hadn't changes very much and it was still yet a few hours before dawn. "I'll keep watch," he said, "So get some sleep. The three of us have a big decision tomorrow, But it's going to start with raising our little princess up at the crack of dawn to forage. I'll wager it will be her first experience foraging for herself. I'll stay down here, that is unless you'd prefer to just keep your own company?"
In the stillness, he kept his vigil, though his gaze cast over the princess more and more often. His thoughts wondering what sort of queen she would be to her subjects? He heaved a sigh, accepting that although his kingdom was no longer established, his legacy, through her, would be. Probably one comfort to royalty, he didn't have to hope and worry about who the mare would be that smote his heart, and won the right to breed with him. It was decided for him and his future queen, so they could focus on the more pressing matters of state. They would have to learn to care for one another on their off-time.He could almost snort seeing as they both seemed to have that in abundance for the moment. Alas she and Heroine seem a little skittish about discussing the particulars of her running away. Since Heroine was right here healing Grim Rose, he could ask her.
"Heroine, the princess shied away from explaining her reason for leaving your realm. Would you mind if I ask you instead? I'd kind of like to know what I am swimming into with her."

Aleria lay back down where she was laying befor she rest her head on her arm, she looked at the others around her as she drifted back into sleep. The lake water lapped in a calm motion at her tail, she had another dream the same one as always none of them talked to her this time That of course did not make the hauntings anymore enjoyable, although she didn't wake for a few hours.

Mermydon listened to the story with interest, blinking only occasionally. ~Great Lord?~ He thought, loud enough for the ryori to register his mental alertness to the mattter. Still he drew a blank about any Great Lord, whose name was lost in the mists of his memories, likely blotted out due to the more immediate trauma of Vorpar's desolation.
Shaking his head clear of the unusual though he looked back to Heroine, then turned and looked at Kanakwella's sleeping form. "Do you suppose that she is afraid of me because the same blood runs hot in my veins?" He inquired. "And who could this Great Lord be that my ancestor would serve instead of his own people?" He wondered these things aloud. "Why serve a Lord that has been imprisoned and isn't your relative?"
Even as he spoke he couldn't help but focus on Kanakwella. She was pretty, but she hadn't fully bloomed yet to be arrayed in her full beauty. She had that fuli, inner beauty that was so rare that it may never be found in Astryl's Vale in one lifetime; and certainly not in the hard life of a kelparie. He memorized her features and silhouette and imagined how much more beautiful they would become by the time they would unite to become one kingdom.
Heroine saw him staring at her and could tell that he was so focused on something about Kanakwella that she'd be speaking to a stone wall.

Aleria woke up as the sun rose, she blinked and stretched making her way over to Myrmydon and the others. "Is the little princess awake yet, the sooner she is the sooner we can get moving" She said still not to sure what the plan was.

Grim Rose struggled against the deep blackness of death. Fighting she tried to wake herself. The finally she opened her eyes. "Where are those sprites?" Grim Rose croaked.

Mermydon looked at Aleria to acknowledge her, then he stretched and rose to meet the new day. "Oh, are you in that big of a rush to get into the desert? He asked rhetorically. "I don't know about you but breakfast is my first order of business." He snapped off two bullrushes at the base with his teeth and offered one to Aleria. Here, let's try and wake her up politely first. He suggested.
As they started towards Kanakwella, Grim Roses groans reached their ears, they paused long enough to acknowledge her. "With any luck they were turned back into gems." He answered her. "I suppose we'll just have to miss out once more on the mysterious flavor of ryori for a little while longer." He said teasing and continued on his way.
Kanakwella was still very dozy and asleep when he and Aleria crept upon her. He reached his bulrush it's full length and began lightly tickling it against her ear, then her cheek...
