Early the next morning, most of the villagers awoke bright and early. They had mostly slept well, relieved by the lack of murder the previous day. However, their hopes for another murderless day were soon dashed when the bell once again rang, summoning them to the courthouse, where the mayor was already looking grave.
"Citizens of Sylestivale, I must once again bring you the unfortunate news that, despite our efforts in eliminating the murderer yesterday, that a murder has once again occurred this night. The victim this night was the Lupora Haze. Having been seemingly reassured that the murderer had been eliminated earlier that day, Haze decided to hold a wild, celebratory party with only herself and the plants in her nursery. Unfortunately, Haze partied a little too hard, and somehow ended up on the roof of her nursery, where she was apparently pushed off by some... uninvited guests, seeing as she landed a good five feet from the roof.
Whether or not Snekly was truly guilty or not, we may never know, but the results of last night does indeed prove that murderers still lurk among us, and we must once again seek to root them out at once."
Day Phase 4 has begun!
In-game discussion may occur publicly on this thread (and only this thread) during this time.
- Anyone is welcome to speak or say anything in-game at any time during this phase (you don't need to follow a strict format or anything), however, this discussion has one main intention: to decide on and vote out a suspect.
- At any time, you may decide to officially vote or nominate someone by saying anything along the lines of "I decide to vote for/nominate ___" in bold on the thread, or through a DM to me. Keep in mind that there is a difference between simply accusing someone and actually voting/nominating them. Only vote/nominate someone if you have firmly decided that you want them out!
If you find yourself being nominated, it's usually in your best interest to try and defend yourself however you want, though people may still vote for you anyways.
You do not have to give a reason for nominating/voting for someone, though it may help your case.
(A nomination is simply the first public accusation of someone, voting is basically just "hopping on board" of the nomination. There's not some important difference between them, it just makes the trial clearer.)
- You may also opt out of voting entirely by saying "I decide not to vote at all" in bold.
- Use the pinglist only if you are nominating someone or have another announcement you think everyone should know. If you're replying to someone, e.g. defending yourself against a nomination or agreeing with someone, please only ping those involved. Make sure you ping me if you decide to vote publicly.
- You may decide to change your vote at any time (but try not to do it too much for my sake). Again, your vote may be cast publicly (declaring on the thread) or in a private DM to me.
- In order to eliminate someone through voting, they must have a majority of all votes and at least 3 votes by the end of the phase. If the majority of voters specifically wish to opt out or no one has more than 2 votes, no one gets eliminated.
-This phase may last up to 96 hours in real time, loosely divided into 48 hours for discussion and 48 for voting. If all people DM/ping me with their vote/nomination or specifically tell me that they wish to opt out of voting before the 96 hours are up, the phase will end early.
- If you do not vote within the time limit, you will be skipped. Failing to act within the time limit is not the same as an opt-out in this situation-- it does not count for or against any side, it is ignored entirely.
- Roleplaying and random discussions are encouraged, this is just the loose format to follow as you do so.
- Don't forget to ping me if you post your vote on the thread!
(Oh, and if you are dead, you cannot vote! Though I guess you can still say stuff out-of-game.)

"Neither Earth nor Flameswirl are part of the Mafia, Niki and Lucy have been cleared by Purfolium, and someone tried to murder me two days ago. And, since a third of everyone here, dead or alive, are murderers, that would mean all three of them plus Snekly are killers. Possibly. I don't know. You probably shouldn't trust me on that."
She rubs her eyes, weary from staying up for so many nights in a row.
