The two teams may decide the length and the genre for the stories.

If anyone wants to team with me, I'm cool with that. I've worked with other people before so I'm generally pretty patient with my partner as long as they're patient with me. The genres I usually work with are fantasy, adventure, mythological, mild romance, and mystery/murder. Although I'm open to working on any sort of collaboration to help expand my writing expertise.

i'm assuming i ping you with the october contest? also sorry, it's long ^^;
theme: ghost
main character: hawk (my warrior cats oc hawkpelt, {lighs came close to how he looks}, but his name is shortened to hawk for the story)
quick reference to wording: twoleg = human
twoleg nest = house
twolegplace = a collection of human houses
thunderpath = road/highway
monster = any sort of vehicle
"Look, I don't know where I am," Hawk mewed. "Can you please help me find my way out of here?" he asked again to the empty air, aware of eyes in the shadows that were watching him. When no answer came, he sighed and turned around. Perhaps he could find his own way out; if he climbed that tall tree that was not too far away, in front a Twoleg nest, he might be able to see where he was and how to get out of here, wherever "here" was. He wandered out of the alley and peered at the tree.
"Help me! Please!" a cat screeched. It sounded like a she-cat. Hawk was on his nightly hunt, stalking a mouse through the bushes when he heard the wail of terror. A faint trail of fear-scent reached his nose. Abandoning the hunt, he raced in the direction of the fear-scent. The voice continued to wail pitifully. "Hang on! I'm coming!" he yowled as he crashed through the undergrowth. The fear-scent grew weaker and weaker until it was lost completely in the reek of a Thunderpath, a stretch of strange hard black stuff that Twolegs traveled on in the bellies of monsters with glowing eyes. In the middle of the Thunderpath was a she-cat, her eyes glazed with terror, her fur buffeted by the wind of monsters roaring past...
Hawk twitched his whiskers and loped to the tree. His paws were freezing from standing in the frosty grass for so long. He crouched and was just about to leap onto the first branch when another cat jumped down and landed right in front of him. Hawk's pelt immediately fluffed out in surprise. Recovering his wits, he arched his back and raised his tail. "Who are you?" he hissed menacingly. The she-cat blinked back, her pale blue eyes catching the moonlight. Her long silvery fur rippled in the wind. She looked familiar, but Hawk couldn't quite put his claw on where he recognized her from.
Hawk searched the Thunderpath for a way through to the she-cat. Monsters roared back and forth in lines going opposite directions; perhaps they were chasing each other? Hawk shook his head. Twolegs had thistledown for brains. As he continued to watch for an opening, a gap appeared. He ran through as fast as he could to reach the cat in the middle of the Thunderpath. The cat looked up at him, an emotion he couldn't name flashing in her eyes...
"Who I am is not important," she mewed. "You're Hawk, right? Oh, don't look so suspicious. I know everyone around here." Hawk growled softly. There was no possible way that this she-cat knew who he was, especially when he hadn't been here, wherever he was, for very long. "I want out of here," he spat angrily. The she-cat gazed back calmly. The tip of her tail twitched. "Then I shall show you the way out," she replied. She turned and bounded away, looking back only once to see if he was following. Relief flooded Hawk as he raced after her. Finally, he could go home to his forest. She led him through a maze of alleys, until they finally came back to..... wait. Something wasn't right.
"Are you okay?" Hawk asked breathlessly. "I'm fine," the she-cat shouted in an attempt to be heard over the deafening growls of the monsters. "Then let's get out of here," Hawk shouted back. He turned to wait and watch for another opening in the monsters. As luck would have it, he didn't have to wait long. A long lull of silence fell over the Thunderpath. He turned to the she-cat. As soon as her gaze met his, she leaped at him, claws outstretched and teeth bared. "What are you doing? I'm trying to help you!" he screeched, trying to break free from her merciless claws. Her eyes burned brighter and brighter until Hawk couldn't bear to look at her. He slammed his eyes shut against the blinding light that emanated from the she-cat. Her muzzle brushed his ear as she whispered to him. "You're perfect. I think I'll bring you with me." Hawk felt himself falling into darkness as she clamped her jaws on his throat; he struggled to get away before falling completely into the black void. He woke in a strange alley filled with eyes. Hawk sat up and let out a cry for help...
The dark brown tom slowed to a stop. He stared after the she-cat, who had turned to look at him. "Why did you bring me here?" he asked, gazing at the alley he had woken up in. How did they get here? Wasn't she taking him out? The she-cat's eyes burned. "I brought you here because I thought you were the perfect cat to help me rule this place. You were supposed to want to help rule this ghost town, not want to escape it. But clearly I was wrong." Her mew was filled with hatred. She took a step towards Hawk, her pelt bristling angrily. "I meant..." he trailed off as he realized what she said. "You brought me here? You... you killed me!" he cried hoarsely as everything fell into place. This was the she-cat he had tried rescuing. She was a ghost. His realization had come too late. He swiped outstretched claws across her face, but his paw phased through her. More cats emerged, their eyes glowing. "I thought you were perfect," she repeated before bowling him over and slamming him to the ground. Weakly Hawk wondered why he couldn't touch her, but she could hurt him. Her eyes and pelt began to glow bright like fire. "But you are flawed. I see that now." Ghostly laughter filled his ears as she sank her teeth into his throat.
