Little Red: aka Red~Adult: 3 years (20 years in species)~ ?

The Bulbori woke to find her foot bandaged and in a splint. "What?" She yawned looking about the tree branch, though she found that she wasn't there anymore. The den was shallow and dark with only the light of the sun shining through the enterance to light the place. A soft bed of moss lay beneath her from where she slept in the back of the den. Who had brought her here? The place smelled of a predator, maybe she had been mistaken for something dead? That when the small nixi sleeping next to her twitched in his sleep startling her. Had he saved her?

((I'll not carry this through to completion so Charzard can update her post))

"You all only care about your own wounded! While one of ours is very deeply wounded! You are all uncaring!" Grim rose's orbs laid shattered beside her. The Ryori tried to collect the shards but it was hard... "Help her! We can't fix our own kind's orbs only sylesti with healing magic can repair them. Please save Grim Rose please. I beg of you."

Now awakened by his own past nightmare, Mermydon heard the plight for Grim Rose. He wanted to ignore it and allow natural selection to take it's course. Besides, he knew nothing of her kind which would make the healing process complicated or even worsen her situation. He turned and looked over, at first thinking his excuse would be sufficient. Afterall, if she couldn't heal on her own, fixing her would be taking the meal out of the mouth of another living creature. Aleria changed his mind though. She wasn't far from Grim Rose's resting spot and he had been meaning to finish his business with her. He begged to excuse himself from Kanakwella and managed to gallumph himself past Aleria, making eye contact as he passed, and over to the covey of ryori.

"Do you understand what you are asking old sire?" Mermydon said as he sized up Grim Rose's parent. "While I have the earth power needful to heal it will not work for those not of this earth." He wanted him to understand fully. "Mayhaps it would be more merciful to her and the living to feed her to the lake." He paused expecting the old ryori to hackle up. "The best I can offer is this." He said, plucking a kelp blade from his armor. "I know not if it will work, but place all of her orbs you can find along with one orb each from her sire and dam, wrap them in the blade and give it and her to me." He said. "Upon my word I will not feast on her flesh, but what can you possibly do to repay the debt if she lives?" he asked.

"I would do anything for my daughter even give my life." Grim Rose's father said. "She is the future of our kingdom. Only she can be able to take rule......... she is unique." Grimrose groaned in pain but it was barely audible. Grim Rose's father looks down at her concerned. "She won't last much longer." A ryori said.

Aleria liad with only her tail touching the shallows. not to worried about the water sprites for the night as ingnorent as that was she didn't care. Her dreams as always consisted of memories the over dweller sylesties she had killed in the past haunting her occasionally. As always in these kinds of dreams she runs faster and faster, somehow it was different A ryori that she reconised it looked a lot like... Grim? A female ryori it looked at her then something that never happened in any of her other dreams happened here. "Don't harm her the way you did me as she is no fool..." The words it spoke echoed She woke up screaming the time as Myrmydon did he was more noticed so she shook off and moved on. It kept her thinking though even as she watched Myrmydon offer to safe Grims life, she didn't interfere, just watched.

Mermydon had no knowledge of ryori anatomy. Neither did he know or understand anything about the shadow realm from which they came. All he could do was try what he knew and hoped for the best. So, while Grim Rose's parental ryori each willingly donated an energy orb into the kelp blade, he took Rose by the scruff using his teeth, which was tricky. He then galumphed carefully over closer to Aleria, thinking that this healing would allow him the time to talk with her as he had hoped to do in the lake.

He settled himself down and curled his tail away from Aleria to create a horseshoe shaped nest. He then lay Grim Rose's carcass against his side as he had done with Kanakwella, only Rose was much smaller and weighed nothing, such that his fin literally pressed her against his side without laying her body to the ground.
"Come and place the orbs beneath where she is." He instructed the ryori. Once they had done so he stared at them until the departed from the curl in his body. "There is nothing more to do but wait." He assured them.

Although he was cheated out of a debt, Mermydon was inwardly relieved. He nodded to Heroine and unfurled his tail and raised his fin so she could spellcast clearly.

It allowed him to dip his tail into the lake edge so he wouldn't dry out too much. While he was at it, he flicked some water across Aleria's back to get her attention. She didn't respond right away so he splashed her again, and at regular intervals...

Aleria turned to Myrmydon the second time she was almost sure he saw the look of terror on her face, She moved closer to him "Do you think she will survive?" she asked trying to wipe to look of fear off her face.

"I don't know." he told her. He didn't miss her fearful stare at all. "She's in safer hooves than mine now."

He inched a bit closer and in a lower voice said. "Still think you have no future?" He asked. Saying more could have been threatening. But she clearly understood that he wasn't a pushover either.

From his vantage he could see Princess Kanakwella's backside. She was so very young, practically half his seasons in truth, but 600 years difference in their cultures was a bit of a gap to bridge. But she thus far demonstrated that it wasn't her destiny that she was afraid of. She was surprisingly comfortable around him, so he guessed that she had accepted her future and being a part of it with him. He still hadn't asked himself if he was comfortable with that future; regardless if he wanted it or not.

After a healthy pause he decided to follow through. "We envy you, ya know? Royals like Kanakwella and me. Having the freedom to go and do as you please without any expectations placed on you, or the survival of an entire colony on your shoulders."

Then he splashed her one more time, a little lighter and playful this time. "And you have the right to choose your mate, or fight to keep yourself from a mate if you don't want to be taken. It's a luxury that she and I will never have. I am sorry to frighten you the way I did, but I figured that was more of something you were used too from bull stallions and that it might get your attention."

He finally looked at her face to face. "Please, look me in the eye. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I promise you that I can find you your future, or grant you one. Whatever it takes or personal risk I have to do to make it happen."
