"Annoying, as always. I...actually haven't seen her around lately..."

Alaska laughed a little through tears. She spoke again but said: "Well, you need to stop talking. And trying to move. You need to save your energy so you can get better soon." Alaska took Victor's hand in hers, squeezing it gently.

"Interesting is one word for it."

" Well she might just be busy with something, you know how she can be. "

Victor sighed but slightly nodded, trying to relax and not do to much. But, Stubborn as Victor was he didn't listen to that for too long. " We need to get to the base.. " His voice rang out a tiny bit louder now.

" I would say could and mean spirited but I don't know her enough for that. "

Maveric nodded. "Yeah, that's true. I wonder if she's with Bailey..." He was thinking out loud

"Yeah, we do. But that can wait till morning. We can't go out there with all the zombies around and you injured. That's just not going to work. You rest and when you're strong enough, we'll start heading back there." She used her don't-argue-with-me tone

Victoria was silent at that. The Alaska she knew was basically just that.

Ava nodded, not saying anything as she knew he was just thinking.

Victor again nodded, and decided just to rest. There was no use arguing with Alaska and he knew a lot better then to stress her right now. Instead he just cuddled into her lap as a way to show he wouldn't be trying anything.

Gerard thought he had said something wrong because of the silence so he too became quiet.

"Oh well. It's not like she ever gets into any trouble, so there's no need to worry about her."

Alaska smiled down at him, glad that she had won. Sometimes Victor could be really stubborn just like she could, so she was glad her tone worked. She listened to the shuffling and the moans of the zombies outside while holding Victor's hand

Victoria went back to stirring her soup, almost in a sad way

" Well yeah I highly doubt that she would do anything to get her in trouble, she has always been the responsible type "


Victor had a genius idea he just knew would make Alaska happy, or so he could only hope. He gently pulled Alaska's hand to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on her hand before becoming still again. He didn't move a wounded part of his body nor did he speak, so she couldn't get mad, right?


" So uh.. How do you guys know Vic? "

"Yeah. It's kind of annoying. I'm glad she gave up on giving me the speech about cleaning my room," he said, rolling his eyes

Alaska didn't get mad, but she did raise an eyebrow at him. "What was that for? Actually, don't answer that." She had just told him to save his energy by not speaking and then she almost told him to do the exact opposite of what she had said. A smile spread across her lips nonetheless but one eyebrow stayed raised in question

"He's the one that saved all of us. Mav and Lani were here first, and then everyone else came." She shrugged

" You should clean it though, it looks a lot nicer clean and neat then messed up. "

Victor smirked at what she said, but did as he was told and said not a word.

" That crazy son of dogs.. Sudden death always had a few screws loose. "

"Lani gave up on it, so should you. I hope you realize it's probably never gonna be clean."

Alaska jumped when a zombie brushed past one of the boards and the shack creaked and leaned to one side. "Um..."

"Sudden death?"

" I won't, you know that. "


Victor now forced himself to sit up " Oh great.. "

" Victor goes by Sudden death to those who know him for business. "
