Aoi took Hanoko's open arm. "C'mon, let's go. Sooner Hana warms up sooner she'll be back to normal."

Sometimes it seemed like Aoi was the older sister.

Mason forced a smile, letting him climb in first. He looked back at the building they came from. "It's too good to be true." , He muttered before climbing in after him. Mason shut the door, and sat next to Nicolas.

The man nodded to Hanoko, Aoi, and Puyo. " Alright well, take the nearest carriage.. I will be sure to get you all new clothing for the winter. " He said to them, he looked back to Kimani.. he figured being nicest to the most wounded would get him farther. So, he said, " Kimani, correct? I want you to ride with me. " He took the hint, and he'd make sure it was dealt with later.. he'd prefer all his new workers were intact.

Elizabeth nodded, " Yeah, that'd be super nice. "

Avery had been oddly silent and well behaved today, and she was sticking very close to Zan, witch was even weirder. though it looked odd on the outside on the inside all of Avery's nerves were on edge, her instincts were screaming for her to run, but she knew she couldn't just leave everyone, they were practically family to her. Her eyes widened as he approached Kimani her muscles tensing as if she would attack at any moment, but instead she spoke before thinking " Snake..." her voice was a low muffled growl, and she was far enough away he probably didn't hear much of what she said through her gritted teeth

Aoi nodded. Then she helped Hanoko to get in. THey made some room for Puyo.

Aoi shivered in her thin dress. "Let's hope this dude actually gives us proper clothing. I hate dresses."

Hanoko just stared straight ahead.

Ulima narrowed her eyes but said nothing as the man pointed out Kimani's missing eye. He couldnt be genuine, there was definitely something off about him. Part of Ulima wanted to run but she knew that there was no way that shed be able to get far, not to mention the fact that shed be leaving behind everyone else including Lillian and Puyo who were only ten.

Zanzibar stayed close to Lillian.his bag was swung over his shoulder.He did notice Avery wasn't too fond of their adopter,and he'd learned the hard way that when she thought something about someone she was usually right.He glanced at their adopter again...snake was one way to describe him...if you thought about it.


Crimson looked at the man,he felt off a tad but she trusted him enough...and it wasn't like she had to stay with him long....as soon as she got herself enough money she'd be out of there....

Kimani nodded softly. His gut told him there wasn't something right. He had seen the way people lie and disguise themselves to appear friendly, but he was desperate. Desperate for someone, anyone, who could show him anything other than abuse.

Wren thought nothing of the man and Kimani's interactions, until he said that Kimani would be riding with him. Her right hand twitched a little. It was no secret that she paid special attention to Kimani, and him riding with a stranger, despite being their new "guardian", it made her stomach tie in a knot.
